No surprises here - my interview with The Poultry Podcast Show • by Wisenetix focused on flock data management. In my opinion, this topic is the single most important differentiator separating successful poultry farmers from unsuccessful ones - especially in cage free. Does this shock anyone? It shouldn’t. Seen repeatedly across 25 million US laying hens year-over-year, the flocks that are monitored more closely are more predictable, more controllable, and more profitable. If you don’t know your flock’s current age, breed, lay rate, body weight, case weight, mortality rate, feed rate, and water rate off the top of your head… then you better be able to pull it up 📈💻📲

𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬: 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 As a Field Veterinarian, heading out to the field alongside the Technical Sales team is always a crucial moment. But have you ever paused to think about what a farm visit actually means? For us, visiting a farm isn't just about collecting data or gathering evidence to solve field challenges. Yes, we rigorously check technical parameters, including: Barn Environment: Temperature, humidity, altitude, and overall chicken comfort. Production Performance: Body weight, mortality rates, Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), and more. However, even the best data won't drive real change without the right communication. 💬 The true challenge lies in delivering the reality of field conditions and technical findings to the customer in a way that is honest, direct, yet supportive. The key lies in: Empathetic & Constructive Communication: Presenting facts without placing blame, but rather building shared awareness. Active Listening: Giving farmers and partners the floor to share their own feedback and challenges. Collaborative Discussion: Finding win-win solutions that serve the best interests and sustainability of both parties. When technical data blends seamlessly with effective communication, a farm visit stops feeling like an "inspection" and transforms into a constructive dialogue—ensuring maximum performance by the end of the flock period. 🤝🔥 How do you or your team approach field visits? I'd love to hear your experiences in the comments below! 👇 #VeterinaryMedicine #GoldCoinIndonesia #AboitizFoods #FieldVeterinarian #PoultryIndustry #TechnicalSales #FarmVisit #PoultryHealth #AnimalWelfare #CommunicationSkills #Teamwork #Leadership #PoultryFarming

The most valuable conversations in animal health happen where the clinic meets the commercial room. I began as a veterinarian, then moved through veterinary pharmaceuticals, technical support, sales, marketing, and commercial operations. That journey taught me that growth does not begin with a spreadsheet. It begins with a real customer problem observed closely. Today, I work to translate clinical context into practical commercial execution: clearer portfolio priorities, stronger market activation, and better cross-functional decisions. I will use this page to share lessons from animal health, pharmaceutical marketing, GCC and Africa market entry, and responsible AI. My aim is simple: make complex commercial work more useful for the people - and animals - it ultimately serves. If you work in animal health, veterinary pharma, or commercial strategy, what is one customer signal your team should listen to more closely? #AnimalHealth #VeterinaryPharma #CommercialStrategy #Marketing #GCC

🎧New #DairyDigressions! 🎧 Join us for an episode of the pod where host Matthew Lucy brings together three experts from across the cow-to-consumer spectrum to work through the science of unpasteurized milk and cheese and to help us all be better communicators and stewards of the science of raw milk and risk. We’re thrilled to have two beloved return guests: Pamela Ruegg, DVM, MPMV, of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and Nicole Martin, PhD, of Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and a special new guest, Daniel Griffin, MD, PhD, of Columbia University. The conversation covers everything from why even dairy calves drink pasteurized milk to how we can communicate clearly when public perception clashes with established science. Finally, the group connects on a shared truth: Many consumers choose raw milk out of a desire to connect with their food and local farmers. Fortunately, safety doesn’t require sacrifice—countless small, local producers offer exceptional, safe, and pasteurized dairy products that you can trust.
