Americans are increasingly open to private capital playing a role in modernizing the nation's infrastructure, according to new polling from UFI Partnership Network member Global Infrastructure Investor Association (GIIA), conducted with Ipsos. >60% of respondents back private or public-private partnership (P3) delivery models if it means projects arrive on time. 📈 75% believe continued investment will boost the economy and create jobs. Robust federal investment must remain the foundation, but when paired with private capital, public dollars go further, de-risking projects and unlocking billions more to get infrastructure built faster and delivered to more communities. With an estimated $3.7 trillion funding gap facing our nation, we can’t afford to leave any tool on the table.
People around the world see infrastructure investment as a major driver of jobs and economic growth – and most are open to private capital, or blended public-private models, to help deliver it. That's according to the new Global Infrastructure Index from GIIA and Ipsos, a survey of 21,000+ people across 29 countries on the benefits of infrastructure, national satisfaction levels and sources of funding or financing. The Index also polled the public on individual priority sectors for investment, finding that: - Globally, water supply jumped to become the public's highest prioritized sector, followed by rail, solar energy, and roads 📊 - Water supply and sewerage emerged as the top priority for investment in 9 out of 29 countries surveyed, and more broadly in the top three positions for 18 out of 29 countries 💧 🔗 Explore the full findings: https://lnkd.in/e87H7Y-m 🌎 GIIA’s country-by-country analysis can also be accessed here: https://lnkd.in/ebeuSZ7R
