It’s World Environment Day, and we’re reflecting on the steps MPS Egg Farms is taking to help build a more sustainable future for agriculture. Just last year, we produced: ☀️ Nearly 2 million kWh of solar energy 🌱 5,702 acres of corn crops enrolled in low-carbon grain programs ♻️ 285+ tons of plastic wrap and cardboard recycled 🥚 More than 6.35 million eggs for donations to families across 15 states As a sixth-generation family-owned company, we believe caring for our planet goes hand in hand with caring for our people, hens and communities. Thank you to our employees, customers, farm partners and communities for helping us move forward every day. World Environment Day: turning our commitments into concrete actions ✏️ At Pink Lady® Europe, our commitment to the environment is long-term. On World Environment Day, we highlight the initiatives and actions we carry out across our entire value chain. Some of our priorities: ⚡️Carbon: acting from orchard to packing station In our orchards, growers use integrated fruit production with careful resource management. They also rethink the end-of-life of trees, turning wood into biomass or firewood, contributing to better carbon management. At our packing stations, we work to improve energy efficiency and evolve our packaging: incorporating recycled and bio-based materials, improving recyclability - all to reduce our footprint. 🐝 Biodiversity: encourage and support Through the BeePink® program, we engage our growers in biodiversity-friendly practices. Dedicated facilities, agroecological infrastructures, and training are concrete actions to protect ecosystems in our orchards. 💧Water: optimizing this resource Water management is key. In orchards, we monitor and optimize usage. At stations, we implement recycling and closed-loop systems to limit overall consumption. 🍃 Soil: experimenting to improve soil health Through the “Orchard of the Future” network, we test and guide the evolution of farming methods to encourage more sustainable practices. Environmental challenges require collective and ambitious responses. Pink Lady® Europe continues its transformation alongside its growers and partners. Together, let’s cultivate a more sustainable agriculture. #PinkLadyEurope #WorldEnvironmentDay

What if an almond shell could regenerate the future? At Treehouse California Almond, that future is already being built. In partnership with the Sitos Group Group , we are advancing our biochar initiative- transforming almond shells into a carbon-rich fertilizer that improves soil health, increases water retention, and helps sequester carbon. Biochar is created through a controlled pyrolysis process, in which organic matter is converted into stable carbon. Instead of returning to the atmosphere, this carbon is stored in the soil - supporting productivity and reducing environmental impact. This is more than innovation: it's a step forward in regenerative agriculture. By connecting byproducts, technology, and agriculture, we are helping to shape a more circular and resilient food system. #TreehouseAlmonds, #Biochar, #CircularEconomy, #RegenerativeAgriculture, #Sustainability

What if agricultural waste could help grow stronger crops, improve soil health, and protect our environment? Through the use of biochar, farmers are turning organic waste into a powerful resource that enriches the soil, improves water retention, and supports sustainable farming practices. The result is healthier harvests, increased resilience to climate challenges, and improved livelihoods for farming families. At Deki, we believe that small actions can create lasting change. By supporting entrepreneurs and communities to adopt sustainable solutions like biochar, we are helping to build a future where people, businesses, and the environment can thrive together. #Biochar #SustainableAgriculture #ClimateAction #FoodSecurity #SocialImpact #Deki #SeedsOfChange #CommunityDevelopment #Sustainability

A farm in Minnesota has developed an innovative solution to combat the extreme summer heat that affects dairy cows. Using solar panels, they have created a shelter that not only provides shade but also generates renewable energy. This system helps maintain an optimal temperature for the animals, which is crucial for their well-being and milk production. The initiative not only aims to improve the quality of life for livestock but also represents a significant advancement in agricultural sustainability. By harnessing solar energy, it reduces dependence on traditional sources and minimizes environmental impact. This approach effectively integrates technology and agriculture, demonstrating how innovative practices can benefit both animals and the environment.
