Over 194 million Americans are living with at least one chronic illness. Chronic conditions such as obesity and hypoparathyroidism (HP) can have a significant impact on patients, families, caregivers and healthcare systems. In support of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization’s #FightOfOurLives campaign, we recognize the importance of continued innovation to help address unmet needs for patients living with chronic conditions. Our team at MBX Biosciences is committed to advancing Precision Endocrine Peptide (PEP)™ therapies with the goal of doing just that specifically for patients and families living with HP and obesity. How can healthcare systems respond when digestive disease already affects more than 300 million people across European Union countries? Digestive conditions affect quality of life, work capacity and long-term health. That burden becomes harder to manage when useful testing remains slow, centralised or invasive. The forwardable insight is that market scale is only half the story. The practical opportunity sits in making monitoring easier to repeat and easier to place near the patient. The Scale Biosensing is developing ZonuCal as a rapid, non-invasive point-of-care test for two faecal biomarkers linked with intestinal health. The system combines a disposable electrochemical immunosensor, a compact reader and a connected digital layer. The Biosensing Response That architecture is designed to turn a widespread clinical need into a more accessible testing workflow. The Wider Need For investors, the relevance is a clear clinical need paired with a practical route to wider use. Biosensing is raising capital and looking for investors. See company website https://www.biosensing.it and then DM me for more info. What if the next important diagnostic company starts with a problem already affecting hundreds of millions?

GLP-1 medications like semaglutide and liraglutide have become a game-changer in obesity treatment, achieving 8–15% weight loss in clinical trials. However, the elephant in the room is sustainability: after stopping treatment, many patients regain the weight. At EazyCare AI, we believe in informed decisions—especially for Southeast Asian communities where lifestyle, access, and cost play unique roles. In our latest blog, we break down the efficacy, safety, and real-world implications of these drugs. Read the full analysis here: https://lnkd.in/gp8ZD9wG

Excited to share that our research article has been published in PULMON (Wolters Kluwer)! 🎉🥰💯 "Pulmonary Function in Sickle Cell Disease: A Case-Control Study of Obstructive and Restrictive Patterns." This study highlights the importance of early pulmonary function screening in patients with Sickle Cell Disease and its role in improving long-term respiratory health, especially in tribal populations. I sincerely thank my mentors, co-authors, and R. C. Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Shirpur for their constant guidance and support throughout this research journey. Looking forward to contributing more to evidence-based healthcare and clinical research.✍️ #ResearchPublication #SickleCellDisease #PulmonaryFunction #ClinicalPharmacy #PharmacyPractice #MedicalResearch #PULMON #WoltersKluwer

Managing comorbidities in Indian patients rarely follows a single clinical pathway. Diabetes with unexpected renal involvement. Multi-drug regimens with interactions that vary by patient physiology. Systemic conditions that overlap in ways guidelines don't fully anticipate. Assimilate by Medvarsity is built for exactly this complexity: a global archive of real, physician-documented cases across 130+ countries, focused on the clinical decision-making that textbooks often simplify away. For practitioners managing complex, layered presentations, shared clinical experience is one of the most reliable resources available. 👉 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲: www.assimilate.one #ClinicalCases #Comorbidities #MedicalEducation #ClinicalDecisionMaking #HealthcareProfessionals #Assimilate

Sentinel is being built as an interpretation layer for preventive health. Most blood reports show data. Sentinel is being designed to help organize that data into clearer systems-level insight. At a high level, Sentinel focuses on five things: 1. Organize Group biomarkers into connected biological systems such as metabolic, cardiovascular, inflammatory, recovery, hormonal, lifestyle, and organ-load contexts. 2. Contextualize Avoid over-reading single markers by looking at broader biological patterns. 3. Track Support longitudinal comparison so changes over time become easier to understand. 4. Prioritize Help identify which biological areas may deserve more attention in preventive health and personal optimization. 5. Communicate Translate complex biomarker data into a clearer, more structured report experience. Sentinel is not being built to replace doctors, diagnose disease, or provide emergency medical advice. It is being developed to make biomarker interpretation more connected, more understandable, and more useful for preventive health. Exia Bio is preparing for public launch and early-access availability.

One thing I’ve learned while building Exia Bio is that biomarker interpretation is not only a science problem. It is also a structure problem. Most blood reports already contain useful data. The challenge is that the information often arrives as separate values: glucose, lipids, inflammation, liver markers, hormones, recovery signals, and lifestyle-related markers. The user is left to ask: What connects these numbers? Which pattern matters most? What is changing over time? What deserves attention first? This is why we are building Sentinel. At Exia Bio, Sentinel is being developed as an interpretation layer for preventive health — designed to organize biomarker data into clearer systems-level insight. The aim is not to replace doctors, diagnose disease, or overinterpret one marker. The aim is to make biomarker data more connected, more understandable, and more useful for preventive health decisions. I shared more in the Exia Bio post below on the five things Sentinel is being built to do: organize, contextualize, track, prioritize, and communicate.

Common clinical practices deserve the same evidentiary scrutiny as new therapies. In a new Br J Clin Pharmacol study, we examined whether empiric potassium supplementation at the time of furosemide initiation was associated with mortality, sudden cardiac arrest, and stroke in routine care. Real-world evidence is often most valuable when it helps us better understand the treatments and prescribing decisions made every day. Congrats to first author T. Phuong P. and our entire research team!

Beren Therapeutics is a clinical-stage, California-based biotech working to build life-changing medicines in partnership with patients, caregivers, clinicians, and health systems. Their most advanced asset, adrabetadex, targets the root cause of Niemann-Pick disease type C (NPC), a rare, inherited condition affecting roughly 1 in 120,000 babies. Our latest article explores the hardships of childhood rare diseases like NPC as well as Beren's therapy and the wider impact they plan to make on patients and their families.
