The most important shift in the Metaverse isn’t visual. It’s structural. The focus has moved from experimentation to viability, powered by AI, Web3, and more disciplined technology design. In her session on Digital Safari TV, Dr. Christina Yan Zhang unpacks what this reset means for payments, innovation, and scalable digital platforms. 👉 Read the Business Intelligence article for more insights: https://lnkd.in/eu2xEna8 #Metaverse #AI #Web3 #BusinessIntelligence #MBI

The landscape of AI is rapidly evolving. Meta's new coding agent, Muse, can now plan, write, and validate software changes autonomously across the internet. To empower these agents, Cloudflare is introducing programmable wallets. This innovation allows AI agents to manage their own virtual wallets, set spending caps, and execute transactions using stablecoins. This marks a significant step towards economic agency for AI, enabling them to not only code but also participate in the digital economy. #AI #Innovation #Technology #Cloudflare #Meta #FutureofTech

Just a random thought that popped into my head after looking at the recent improvements in AI, especially video generation. We build AI workers for small teams, so I get a closer look at what these models can actually do usually before it shows up in the products everyone else sees. And I feel like the next step is experience. Right now entertainment mostly means watching a video(movie). But if you ask a sane person who actually thinks through what he likes and what he doesn't I feel like we're heading towards the end of entertainment through just watching media. The shift will be towards experiencing it. People will pay money to experience something, not only to watch it. That's a huge change. Maybe the metaverse comes back, or maybe some other platform shows up that lets you experience media instead of only watching it. Because I guess history says this: once something becomes common, and once you are able to build that thing yourself, you lose interest in the commercial version of it. Same thing is happening with movies now that anyone can produce one at a fraction of the old cost. It takes away the fascination factor. Or maybe I'm wrong. Just a random thought.

Open Source, Not Corporate AI! AI should belong to everyone—or to a select few! 🤖 Open technology = Innovation for all. ❌ Closed systems = Control by a handful of corporations. Europe must decide now: Do we create or just consume? Wake up, Europe! The future won’t wait! #AI #Art #NFT #AIForGood

We may be worrying about the wrong risk from AI. The question isn’t whether AI will become more intelligent than us. In many domains, it already is. The more interesting question is what happens to us when it does. I was listening to Fei-Fei Li talk with Andrew Huberman about the need to protect human dignity as AI advances. It struck me that dignity might depend less on what AI can do and more on what we choose to hand over to it. There is a difference between asking AI to improve your thinking and asking it to provide your thinking. “Challenge my argument.” “What am I missing?” “Help me express this more clearly.” Those questions preserve authorship. “What should I think?” “How should I feel?” “What should my position be?” Those begin to surrender it. Perhaps we need to think of AI as glasses rather than a VR headset. Glasses change what you can see. They sharpen, extend and sometimes reveal things that were previously invisible. But you remain the person looking. A VR headset does something fundamentally different. It constructs the world through which you look. The greatest threat AI poses to human dignity may not be that machines become extraordinarily capable. It may be that humans become extraordinarily passive. We value efficiency. And rightly so. The challenge is deciding where efficiency ends and abdication begins. There are things we are perfectly happy to stop doing because technology does them better. Arithmetic at a checkout. Remembering telephone numbers. Navigating with a paper map. But thinking, judging, interpreting and forming a view feel different. Perhaps dignity sits somewhere on that boundary. Dignity doesn’t require us to remain more intelligent than AI. It requires us to remain the authors of what we use that intelligence to achieve. Use AI to see further. But keep doing the looking. What things should we always or never outsource?

Meta's new Glimmer model is a significant step towards decentralizing AI. By enabling open-weight models to run locally on consumer hardware, Meta is challenging the dominance of cloud-based AI infrastructure. This shift brings both opportunities and complex challenges, particularly concerning agent autonomy and secure sandboxing. It raises critical questions about how we manage powerful AI capabilities outside of centralized environments. #AI #Decentralization #MachineLearning #TechInnovation #OpenSourceAI
