Beyond his current leadership roles at Gustave Roussy, Prof. Le Tourneau has held senior clinical and academic positions at Institut Curie, led Phase I and head and neck oncology programs, served as principal investigator across numerous Phase I/II studies, and published extensively in peer-reviewed international journals. His expertise in early-phase clinical development, precision medicine, and head and neck oncology will be highly valuable as we continue advancing TumoCure and the broader SRGel long-acting injectable platform. When a biomarker is identified in a patient's tumor, what happens next? The answer is rarely as simple as matching a result to a treatment. Questions often follow. How should the finding be interpreted? Does it influence treatment selection? Could it affect clinical trial eligibility? Is additional testing needed? How does new evidence affect the way the finding is used in clinical practice? These questions are often approached from different perspectives. Pathologists focus on generating and interpreting diagnostic findings. Oncologists focus on applying those findings to patient care. Researchers work to better understand the biology that connects the two. Yet these groups often learn, collaborate, and exchange ideas within separate professional communities, creating fewer opportunities to explore these questions together. Seeing how the same biomarker finding influences decisions across diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management can provide valuable perspective for everyone involved in cancer care. That is why APO | APE was created. Our programs bring together experts across pathology, oncology, and translational science to examine how discoveries, biomarker findings, and emerging evidence influence treatment strategies and patient care. Advancing conversations in cutaneous lymphoma research. SciTech Development was proud to participate in the World Congress of Cutaneous Lymphomas (WCCL) in Montréal, bringing together members of our leadership, scientific, and clinical teams to engage with experts dedicated to advancing care for patients with cutaneous lymphomas. What are the current treatment options for patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC)? 📣 Despite advances in systemic therapy, the optimal integration of locoregional treatments for #LAPC remains an active area of research. #Thermalablation, #irreversibleelectroporation, #stereotacticradiotherapy, #injectabletherapies, #brachytherapy, #histotripsy, and #transarterial approaches are all being explored to improve local control and potentially enhance outcomes in selected patients 🔬. I am pleased to share that our narrative review, “Locoregional and Injectable Interventional Therapies for Locally Advanced Pancreatic Cancer: A Narrative Review with Perspectives on Oligometastatic Disease,” has now been published in the of Clinical Interventional Radiology ISVIR. In this review, we provide an interventional radiology focused overview of emerging locoregional and injectable therapies for LAPC and oligometastatic pancreatic cancer, discussing mechanisms of action, technical considerations, current clinical evidence, and future directions 🫱🏻🫲🏼. I am happy to share first authorship with Danielle Vos and I am especially grateful to my PhD supervisors, Prof. Martijn Meijerink, Prof. Rosario Francesco Grasso and Prof. Marc Besselink, for their guidance and support throughout this work. Can Genomate® help identify which therapies are most likely to benefit cancer patients in routine clinical practice? We’re live at AI in Oncology by PRISM Institute, where Christophe Le Tourneau (Villejuif) presented results from a study of patients discussed by the Institut Curie Molecular Tumor Board, evaluating the clinical utility of computational reasoning in routine oncology practice. The analysis found that patients receiving high-ranked therapies identified by our computational reasoning model experienced nearly double the median progression-free survival compared to those receiving low-ranked therapies (6.8 vs. 3.4 months). Overall survival more than doubled (16.6 vs. 7.8 months), while objective response rates increased from 8% to 33%. Importantly, the study also showed that not all targeted therapies deliver the same benefit. Therapies ranked highly by Genomate® outperformed chemotherapy, while low-ranked targeted therapies performed worse, highlighting the importance of matching treatments to the full molecular context of a patient's tumor.
