8 innovation categories. 1 comprehensive stack. We are proud to be named in the 2026 Gartner® Hype Cycle™ for Digital Sovereignty. See why we were recognized: https://ibm.co/6042EuljQ
Digital sovereignty is becoming one of the more important categories to watch, especially as more governments and regulated industries think seriously about where their data and infrastructure actually live. Congrats on the recognition.
Sovereignity isn't only a question of where do I process my data and who executes the services to do so. It is most importantly a question of freedom of choice. IBM's solution gives this freedom of choice to the ones it belongs to, the client's IT organisation.
Digital sovereignty is becoming a strategic priority. Trusted, secure, and resilient technology foundations are essential for long-term innovation.
Good Morning IBM, IBM isn’t just on the Hype Cycle for Digital Sovereignty. You are defining it. In a world where data is the new oil, sovereignty is the new power grid. The next 10 years won’t be won by who collects the most data, but by who can prove control, compliance, and trust at scale. That is where real innovation lives, turning 8 categories of complexity into 1 stack of certainty for CEOs, regulators, and citizens. This is why I build dashboards that don’t just report risk, they prevent it. Because when nations and enterprises bet their future on digital infrastructure, "good enough" isn’t an option. Proud to see IBM leading. Would love to help build the controls that make sovereignty real, not just theoretical. Thank You. (Dolapo John)
Digital Sovereignty is becoming increasingly relevant, especially as AI adoption accelerates across enterprises. Ultimately, it’s no longer just about where data resides, but also about who controls it, how it’s governed, and how those decisions impact security, compliance, business resilience, and innovation. A conversation that will only become more strategic in the years ahead.
Digital sovereignty becomes real at the control layer. Teams need to know where prompts, embeddings, model weights, and logs reside, who can access them, and which jurisdiction governs each copy. A deployment diagram without those answers is still a policy document, not an operating design.
Congratulations on this recognition! As organizations place greater emphasis on digital sovereignty, having a comprehensive technology stack that supports security, compliance, and operational resilience is becoming a strategic advantage. It's encouraging to see innovation aligned with evolving enterprise priorities.
Digital sovereignty continues to be a cornerstone for modern operational resilience and data protection across sectors. Great to see IBM leading the conversation across so many innovation categories!
Gartner is not what they use to be, AI is doing their job now. :-)
Digital Sovereignty stopped being a compliance checklist and became an architecture requirement. The real challenge for enterprise today isn't adopting AI or hybrid cloud it's maintaining full control over data lineage, residency, and vendor lock-in while doing so. Having a unified stack that tackles sovereignty without sacrificing innovation speed is huge. Well-deserved recognition for IBM 🔝🎯🚀
