What really sets AI forecasting apart from traditional planning? Traditional financial planning relies on static assumptions, locking teams into one fixed scenario. This approach struggles to keep pace with today's rapidly changing markets. AI-powered forecasting, however, changes planning by continuously updating predictions using real-time data. It moves beyond single-point forecasts to flexible scenario modeling, letting finance leaders prepare for multiple possible futures. For example, instead of reacting after supply chain disruptions or labor cost spikes, AI scenarios anticipate risks and guide proactive budgeting decisions. This means faster collaboration across finance, sales, and workforce teams—and smarter, more confident decisions made with up-to-date insights. Static assumptions slow you down. AI-powered forecasting speeds you up and turns uncertainty into opportunity. How could real-time, scenario-driven planning change your next budget cycle? https://fpnainsights.com/ #FinanceLeadership #CFO #DecisionMaking #BusinessStrategy

I sat in a meeting last year where the CFO and the COO argued for twenty minutes about revenue. They had different numbers. The CFO was pulling from the finance system. The COO was pulling from operations. Sales had a third version that matched neither. Nobody was lying. The systems just didn't talk to each other. This is the conversation happening in most mid-market companies right now around AI. The CEOs who want agents, dashboards, predictive models — and then you peel back one layer and find three disconnected systems that have never agreed on anything. AI doesn't fix that. A single, governed data layer fixes that. AI then makes it useful. Forty years in this business. The companies making the best decisions aren't the ones with the most data. They're the ones where Finance, Operations, and Sales are all reading from the same page. When the numbers match, the argument stops and the decision starts.

More data has not made finance faster. If anything, it has made it harder to know what mattersis true. That is what stuck with me in our 2026 FP&A Impact Report. 70% of finance teams now report a mandate to adopt AI, but 51% still have only moderate or limited integration between their FP&A tools and the source systems feeding them. It is a good reminder that AI laid over a fragmented data foundation does not close the gap between insight and action on time execution. Before can achieve true orchestration, finance, business analytics and IT teams need clean, connected and governed data moving in real time across systems. That's how teams can stop generating activity and start generating value. Worth a read if you are thinking through where your team sits: https://bit.ly/4bijCda

How much of your team's week goes into reconciling schedules across spreadsheets that don't sync? McKinsey says breaking those silos could unlock 30–40% more productivity upstream and having spoken to a lot of operators lately. Wesley Schumacher and Michael Pendleton are showing exactly how DSO closes that gap. Live on July 27th 11:00 AM GST If well delivery or capital efficiency is your world, block the time. McKinsey research found that breaking down data silos could unlock 30-40% more productivity in upstream operations, yet most teams are still stitching plans together across spreadsheets that don't talk to each other. Wesley Schumacher and Michael Pendleton, MBA are hosting a webinar to show how Decision Support and Optimization (DSO) software connects planning, scheduling, and execution into one view, so upstream teams spend less time reconciling data and more time running the operation. ⚡ Don’t miss out on seeing it live! 👉 Register for July 23 | 10:00 AM ET / 3:00 PM BST / 4:00 PM CEST: https://hubs.li/Q04pjZ0k0 👉 Register for July 27 | 11:00 AM GST / 5:00PM AEST: https://hubs.li/Q04pjYdP0 #UpstreamOilAndGas #CapitalEfficiency #AI #WellDelivery #AssetManagement #OilAndGasWebinar

https://lnkd.in/gwvqy2Sa Nearly 60% of finance teams are piloting AI. Only 7% of CFOs report a strong impact. 😲 That gap? It's not the technology. It's the people who know how to bridge finance and AI - and there aren't enough of them. I've spent some time building AI-enabled workflows in investment research and financial diligence and here's what I learned: AI doesn't replace the analyst. It replaces the reading. The judgment - which variance matters, what a discrepancy actually signals, whether the output can be trusted - still sits with the person who understands the data. The AI does the volume. The finance training does the thinking. So if you're from a finance background and want to grow into this space, my honest advice: → Don't start with coding. Start with one painful, repetitive workflow you already own - and automate it. → Build the QA layer. Anyone can generate AI output. The professionals who can validate it are the ones firms actually need. → Keep your accounting and modeling fundamentals sharp. AI amplifies domain expertise - it doesn't substitute for it. The most valuable analyst isn't the one who fears AI or the one who blindly trusts it. It's the one who knows exactly where it breaks. #InvestmentResearch #AIinFinance #FinancialAnalysis #CareerGrowth #FinanceTransformation
