We are pleased to see the Phase 2b ELEVATE IPF trial of deupirfenidone in #idiopathicpulmonaryfibrosis (IPF) featured in the August issue of The American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine (AJRCCM). The manuscript, which was previously published online, reports findings that helped inform the design of the recently initiated Phase 3 SURPASS-IPF trial – the first industry-sponsored head-to-head trial in #IPF, which will assess superiority of deupirfenidone vs. pirfenidone. The August issue also includes an accompanying editorial by Dr. Chad Newton. This is worth a read and explains why no two people are the same and we need to choose the right Compression for our patients.
VenUS 6: Expanding the evidence base for compression therapy 🦵 The wait is finally over! The newly published VenUS 6 study highlights the importance of choice, clinical judgement and personalised compression care. At L&R we are extremely excited to see: 💚The first randomised control trial that shows that adjustable wrap systems heal venous leg ulcers ❤️ Leg Ulcer Hosiery Kits remain the most clinically and cost effective treatment option 💚 Adjustable wrap systems are associated with the lowest level of recurrence showing that patient empowered care has long lasting effect. No two patients are the same and neither are their compression needs. As evidence continues to evolve, choice remains key to supporting personalised venous leg ulcer management. Such an important investment in research in compression and the future of venous leg ulcer management. So incredibly important to look at this holistically with a patient focused approach

In 3 days, I have the privilege of delivering "ERCP in Focus: Endoscopic Management of Pancreatobiliary Obstruction." 🎥 The premise is simple: pancreatobiliary obstruction is where endoscopy is hardest — and where the right platform changes outcomes. In this lecture I'll cover what's genuinely new across ERCP and hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) management — the complete toolbox of scopes, imaging modes, and accessories, and how to deploy them in the cases that used to defeat us. A point I'll make directly: FUJIFILM Healthcare Middle East & Africa is, to my knowledge, the only company offering a full, integrated solution across the entire ERCP and hepatobiliary pathway — the new-generation duodenoscopes, the ELUXEO imaging platform, and a matched accessory ecosystem working as one. That integration is what turns individual devices into a therapeutic platform. Whether you're an interventional endoscopist, a trainee, or building an HPB program from the ground up — I'd love to have you in the room. 👉 Registration is open. See you there. Registration is FREE: https://bit.ly/ERCPWebinar 📆Date: Thursday, 23rd July 2026 ⏱️Time: 12:00 PM (WAT) UNI-MEDICAL® FUJIFILM Healthcare Middle East & Africa ROEYA Training Center #ERCP #Endoscopy #HPB #Pancreatobiliary #Gastroenterology #FUJIFILM #ELUXEO #InterventionalEndoscopy #ROEYA
ERCP in Focus Webinar is in 4 days! Don't miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights into the latest approaches to the endoscopic management of pancreatobiliary obstruction with Mostafa Ibrahim, MD, FASGE, PhD, FRCP (Glasg.). Join us for this engaging clinical education webinar featuring expert perspectives, practical learning, and a live Q&A. Have you caught the Spring 2026 edition of the Journal of Special Operations Medicine yet? 👀 We have… and one part really caught our attention. Before we recommend a products, we like to do our homework. Not just the brochures. Not just the claims. The research. The edition features an independent laboratory evaluation of the X8T Tourniquet, comparing it against four windlass-style tourniquets with 40 participants. One key takeaway? Tighter doesn’t always mean better. The goal of a tourniquet is to achieve arterial occlusion, stopping blood flow effectively, without unnecessary additional pressure. The study found the X8T achieved arterial occlusion in every application, while requiring lower application pressures compared with the windlass-style tourniquets tested. This is why we spend time understanding the evidence behind the equipment we supply. Because good decisions start with good information. Have you read the paper yet?
