One of the things that has bothered me since day one of building MiPS - Michigan Prototyping Solutions is the assumption that additive manufacturing means small parts. MiPS just changed that with equipment featuring larger standard build envelopes, that can still print engineering-grade parts at a scale that handles the full range of full scale hardware development demands. For the founders and hardware teams I work with, the ones building drones, robotics systems, and physical AI hardware, it means printing large housings and structures, or printing all the parts they need on a single bed.
