Argo Space’s Post

Get to know our newest team member, Jack Griffin, Spacecraft Engineer! Jack interned at KULR and graduated from Yale University, where he led the undergrad liquid rocketry club. What led you to be interested in aerospace? I joined Argo after graduating from Yale University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I was the Structures lead and President of Yale's undergrad liquid rocketry club, Project Liquid, where I got the opportunity to design, build, and test flight hardware, which confirmed my interest in the aerospace industry. During a summer internship at KULR Technology, I worked on and conducted ballistics testing of bulletproof, thermal propagation-resistant battery packs, which gave me valuable insight into how the industry functions. Why did you choose to work at Argo or what is your favorite thing about working here? Argo’s ambitious mission and novel propulsion concept caught my eye. After being welcomed to the team, I have quickly been exposed to many of the intricacies of satellite design and execution. I love how ambitious and collaborative the engineering teams at Argo are. Everyone is committed to the mission's success. I can't wait to see what is to come and am excited to contribute to the Spacecraft team. Fun facts or hobbies? I grew up in San Antonio, TX, before moving to CT for college, but I've always wanted to move to LA to explore the live music scene and spend time outdoors backpacking, biking, and skiing. At Yale, I really enjoyed learning American Sign Language, and I'm excited to continue to learn from the Deaf community and become an interpreter on the side one day! #space #hiring #careers
