🤖 How are you using AI at BlaBlaCar? It's a question I get asked often these days. Here's a concrete answer: we're scaling into 20 more countries, among them, entering Africa with Morocco and expanding our presence in Asia with Indonesia and Vietnam. A few numbers behind that expansion: - Localizing our product is now 6x cheaper - We produce and localize marketing content 70% faster - Managing those campaigns is 30% more efficient, and they perform ~30% better AI isn't replacing our teams. It's empowering them to move faster and reach further. These results are the proof. Huge thanks to everyone who made this happen. Looking forward to welcoming many more BlaBlaCar members around the world. 🌍 Caroline Wilsford Simon Rimbert Néstor Bada Benjamin Braconnier Carmen U. Cécile G. Marie Falconnier Sophie I. Big news: BlaBlaCar is doubling its global footprint. 🌍 20 new countries. 4 regions. 1 mission: make everywhere possible for everyone. Latin America: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay Southeast Asia: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam Europe: Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Greece, North Macedonia, Moldova North Africa: Morocco — our first step onto the continent! And the timing is no coincidence. With fuel costs rising and public transit struggling to keep up in many of these countries, carpooling is part of the solution. Between March and June alone, 800,000+ new drivers joined our community worldwide. Congrats to the team that contributed to the largest expansion in our history. 👏

🇪🇺 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 𝙀𝙪𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙣𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 🫰 This week’s announcement that Karos and BlaBlaCar have entered into exclusive negotiations regarding the proposed acquisition of BlaBlaCar Daily is exciting for many reasons. 🚘 For me, it’s about one thing above all: The opportunity to accelerate our mission of making daily carpooling a mainstream mobility solution across Europe. Not country by country. But together 🤝 By combining experience, technology and best practices, we have the chance to build a stronger European ecosystem for commuters, employers, public transport authorities and local governments. 👫 ❤️ If completed, together we could enable around #1Million shared rides every month! Not because bigger is better. But because greater scale means greater impact for people, for mobility and for the climate 💚

20 years ago, we started BlaBlaCar with a clear ambition: to make everywhere possible for everyone. And from Day 1, my conviction has been that to survive and truly scale a consumer marketplace, you have to go global early on (a controversial one, back in the days). Today, the data speaks for itself. We now see more users and faster growth outside of Europe than within it. Brazil and India have become our largest global markets, capturing almost 50 million passengers a year. Today, I am proud to announce that BlaBlaCar is officially resuming its march toward becoming even more global. We are doubling our global footprint, expanding into 20 new countries across Latin America, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, and North Africa, bringing our total presence to 41 countries. Why now? Fuel prices are squeezing household budgets worldwide, and transit infrastructure in many of these regions hasn't kept pace with demand. Carpooling is a direct answer to both. A decade ago, expanding into 20 countries simultaneously would have been an operational nightmare. Today, AI has changed the game for us. It manages localization across dozens of new languages, adapts marketing assets to each market, and helps us build trusted, reliable communities in entirely new cultures with speed and quality. From welcoming Morocco as our first entry into Africa, to completing our European footprint and unlocking massive new corridors in Southeast Asia: this is the start of the next chapter for the global community-powered platform that is BlaBlaCar. Huge thanks to the team that made this possible 🌍🚗

Karos has entered exclusive negotiations to acquire BlaBlaCar Daily from BlaBlaCar. This move aims to consolidate the daily carpooling market, allowing Karos to achieve critical scale while BlaBlaCar refocuses on its core long-distance travel business. Led by Olivier Binet, Nicolas Brusson, and Hugo Brahmi, Karos will integrate the BlaBlaCar Daily platform to accelerate the adoption of shared mobility for daily commutes. The acquisition would create a European leader in the everyday carpooling sector. More at: https://lnkd.in/edgTqC_a #Carpooling #Mobility #Acquisition
