How does this affect Resource Adequacy in California for the customers of CCAs? If you are a homeowner with SunRun and you are monetizing your demand, do you disappear from the RA requirement of your CCA?

One of the more interesting questions facing the energy industry right now is how we keep pace with unprecedented load growth. New generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure will absolutely be part of the answer. But so will better utilization of existing resources. That's why I'm excited about today's announcement between Renew Home, Tesla, and Sunrun. Collectively, we've already deployed millions of connected devices into homes across the country. Smart thermostats, batteries, EVs, and other connected assets are quietly helping customers save energy and money every day. The opportunity now is to coordinate those resources at scale and transform them into something much bigger: a flexible grid resource capable of supporting utilities, communities, and large new loads when and where they're needed most. What stands out to me isn't just the scale - more than 16 GW of potential VPP capacity. It's what that scale represents. Millions of households making small decisions that, when aggregated, can have an impact measured in power plants rather than in individual devices. For utilities, this creates another tool to help address reliability challenges, support growing demand, and potentially defer more expensive infrastructure investments. For customers, it creates new opportunities to save, earn rewards, and participate in the energy transition without changing their daily lives. The future grid won't be built by any one company or technology. It will require utilities, technology providers, OEMs, and customers working together in new ways. This feels like an important step in that direction.

Today is a huge day for the future of energy: Renew Home, Sunrun & Tesla have teamed up to deliver 16+ GWs of load flexibility. This comes at a critical time when energy demand is skyrocketing due in part to data center growth. This isn't just a story about bringing clean energy to the table instead of more gas power plants, it's about helping households save money and get rewarded for the smart thermostats, solar systems and batteries installed in their homes. And for all my energy nerds - check out the Capacity Explorer tool on VPPcapacity.com to see the potential of distributed energy resources in the places you are working.

Households need relief from high energy costs. Data centers need power. These can point in the same direction. Renew Home, Sunrun, and Tesla are teaming up to bring more than 16 gigawatts of existing capacity to the market to help with both challenges. Millions of customers across the US have chosen to turn on smart energy management that helps them save when it matters most. Running at scale, those choices add up to something real: flexibility on the scale of power plants. It might seem counterintuitive, but when more energy flows through the grid we already paid for, the fixed costs spread across more usage and electricity gets cheaper. That flexibility makes headroom for economic development and helps bring rates down. VPPcapacity.com

Most people think of the Tesla Powerwall as a battery. It is, but the system accomplishes far more than storing energy. 🔋 Paired with a solar array, the Powerwall works continuously in the background to govern how a home uses and stores what it generates. In practice, that looks like this: Real-time monitoring. The Tesla app offers a live view of solar production, battery charge, home consumption, and grid status in a single place, so you know precisely where your energy is coming from and where it is going. Automatic transfer switching. When the grid fails, the Powerwall shifts a home to battery power automatically and almost instantaneously. No manual intervention, no scrambling. The lights remain on. This is what a modern home energy system looks like. The battery is only the beginning. Which of these would matter most to you? ⚡ #TeslaPowerwall #BatteryStorage #SolarEnergy #BackupPower #OntarioSolar #BluewaterEnergy

The EV charging industry is entering its next phase. And it won’t be won on hardware alone. A few years ago, buying an EV charger meant buying a box on the wall. Today, customers want a seamless charging experience, real-time monitoring, reliable service, remote diagnostics and the ability to integrate with the broader energy ecosystem. The conversation is shifting from “Which charger should I buy?” to “Which ecosystem should I trust?” At Epic Energy, we believe this shift presents a significant opportunity. Through RapidEVCharge, we are building more than just charging infrastructure. We are building a connected ecosystem that brings together smart chargers, software, energy management and customer support. As EV adoption accelerates, the future belongs to solutions that are intelligent, integrated and dependable. Because in the EV world, the charger is only the beginning. #ElectricMobility #EVInfrastructure
