AI Discoverability on the Agentic Web: Can AI Find and Recommend Your Business?

AI has changed what discoverability means on the agentic web. As more agents and LLMs search, browse, compare, and purchase on behalf of human customers, businesses need to be asking the following questions: Can AI find me? Understand me? Cite me? Choose me? And most importantly, recommend me - my brand, my products, my services, etc. - to the right customers? In this blog post, I share how we're thinking about this shift at Microsoft, including solutions we’re introducing ahead of Cannes Lions in Web IQ, Clarity, Brand Agents, and Search Campaigns. These products are designed to help businesses not only get found by AI, but also understand how they are showing up and turn those insights into action. Because visibility isn’t just about being seen – it’s about being trusted, valued, and recommended. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gRuzytNW

One of the most common questions I get from CMOs right now is how the AI internet works and this set of launches help demystify that in a big way.  This will be a big part of the conversation at Cannes this year and I’m looking forward to it!

Trusted, valued, recommended. The third one's the real test. An agent won't recommend what it has to second-guess. When running cheap models next to the good ones, I found the cheap ones choke on messy signal the good ones just push through... And you don't pick which one your customer brings. Clean signal is the path of least resistance. That's how you get recommended across all of them, not just the smartest. Are you seeing brands build for the lowest-capability agent yet, or still optimizing for the best one?

Time to start shifting focus from just clicks to actually building trust with these new digital systems
