Overview
The Well-Being Consultant serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to employer groups, supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive well-being initiatives that enhance employee engagement, health outcomes, and organizational performance. This role collaborates with client leadership, human resources teams, wellness committees, and internal stakeholders to advance a culture of health and well-being through evidence-based strategies, targeted programming, and ongoing consultation.
The Well-Being Consultant leads client engagement efforts, facilitates planning and initiatives, analyzes participation and outcome data, and provides recommendations that support sustainable behavior change and organizational well-being goals.
How You'll Make An Impact
Client Consultation and Strategy
- Serve as the primary well-being consultant for assigned employer groups.
- Conduct organizational assessments to identify well-being needs, priorities, and opportunities.
- Develop strategic well-being plans, goals, and implementation strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Facilitate wellness committee meetings, planning sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
- Provide consultative guidance on employee well-being, engagement, resilience, preventive health, and organizational culture.
- Recommend evidence-based programs, resources, and population health strategies that support workforce well-being.
- Coordinate and support the implementation of well-being initiatives, educational programs, awareness campaigns, screenings, and engagement activities.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful program delivery.
- Assist in the development and execution of communication and promotional strategies designed to increase participation and engagement.
- Ensure programs and services are aligned with client goals, member needs, and organizational priorities.
- Collaborate across departments, including Account Management, Advocacy, Care Coordination, Communications, and Program Operations, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with client leaders, wellness champions, committee members, and key stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted resource and subject matter expert on available well-being programs, services, and best practices.
- Facilitate presentations, meetings, and consultations for client groups and organizational leaders.
- Provide responsive support and ongoing guidance to ensure client success and satisfaction.
- Monitor program participation, utilization, engagement trends, and outcomes.
- Analyze data and provide actionable recommendations to support continuous improvement.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and strategic summaries for client leadership and wellness committees.
- Utilize survey results, program metrics, and population health data to inform future planning and decision-making.
- Deliver educational presentations, workshops, trainings, and orientation sessions.
- Promote awareness and utilization of available well-being resources, coaching services, preventive health programs, and support offerings.
- Support community engagement efforts and client outreach initiatives as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Health Education, Exercise Science, Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in employee well-being, health promotion, wellness consulting, public health, organizational development, benefits consulting, or a related field.
- Experience facilitating presentations, workshops, committee meetings, and strategic planning sessions.
- Experience managing client relationships, projects, and multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of employee well-being, behavior change principles, population health, and organizational culture strategies.
- Strong consultation, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
- Ability to analyze data and translate findings into practical recommendations and action plans.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and virtual meeting platforms.
- Experience working with employer-based wellness programs, public sector organizations, or health plan populations.
- Certification in health education, wellness, coaching, public health, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with behavior change frameworks, employee engagement strategies, and population health initiatives.

- Ability to travel to client sites 2x weekly local to California, hybrid office model with travel requirements - 50% annual local travel expectation.
