Where Is The Work
On-Site (5 days)
What You Will Do
Install, alter, relocate and repair all types of plant equipment and facilities. May work a major portion of the time in a particular specialty, such as electrician, pipe fitter, or machine repair. Analyze malfunctions of electronic, electric-hydraulic, and machine tool equipment. Will be required to perform other types of maintenance work in addition to their specialty. May direct work of lower-rated personnel. Identify and handle special waste materials per prescribed procedure. Perform related duties.
What You Will Bring
Graduate apprentice or equivalent with at least three (3) years general maintenance experience involving industrial machinery (Five (5) years preferred)
Must also have experience as identified below:
Electrical skills with ability to interpret schematics, diagnose AC & DC motors, and troubleshoot transformers, relays, motor starters, contactors and proximity & limit switches (IBEW or related apprentice experience preferred)
PLC experience preferred to include Allen Bradley PLC-2, PLC-5, SLC-150, and/or SLC-500.
Basic electronic knowledge or resistors, capacitors, SCR's, triacs, diodes, etc.
Basic mechanical aptitude to include assembly print interpretation, analysis & handling of bearings, tolerances or precision parts, shaft alignments and general mechanical problem solving.
Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and components required. (Must be able to identify components from a schematic, diagnose and repair directional valves, flow controls, regulators, pumps, cylinders, etc.)
Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems and components required. (Must be able to identify components from a schematic, diagnose and repair valves, flow controls, regulators, etc.)
Basic welding skills required to include stick welding and oxy/acet torch use. (Additional specialty skills preferred to include mig, heli-arc, wire feed, etc.)
Must possess complete set of tools to include basic hand tools (standard/metric); multimeter preferred.
Must possess excellent attitude with good analytical troubleshooting skills geared toward performing job under pressure.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate ability to perform.
