Senior Engineering Manager, Data

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager Data to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $225,000 – $265,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team through mentorship and clear performance expectations
• Own and evolve the data platform strategy, including architecture and roadmaps
• Deliver high-quality data systems that are secure, scalable, and reliable
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data meets business objectives
• Act as a hands-on player-coach, staying involved in engineering tasks and architecture reviews
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in engineering management, particularly in high-growth settings
• Experience specifically managing data engineering or data platform teams
• Strong track record of scaling teams and systems through effective hiring and processes
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Commitment to fostering innovation and continuous improvement
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, or Sigma
• Background in building modern data platforms with self-serve analytics capabilities
