For our client, we are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager Data to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $225,000 – $265,000 annually
Responsibilities
Lead and develop the engineering team through mentorship and clear performance expectations
Own and evolve the data platform strategy, including architecture and roadmaps
Deliver high-quality data systems that are secure, scalable, and reliable
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data meets business objectives
Act as a hands-on player-coach, staying involved in engineering tasks and architecture reviews
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in engineering management, particularly in high-growth settings
Experience specifically managing data engineering or data platform teams
Strong track record of scaling teams and systems through effective hiring and processes
Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Commitment to fostering innovation and continuous improvement
Hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, or Sigma
Background in building modern data platforms with self-serve analytics capabilities
