Production Manager

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a manufacturing client to identify a Production Manager to lead daily operations within a plastic injection molding facility. This hands-on leadership role is the perfect step up for a supervisor or assistant manager interested in becoming a plant manager. This role is responsible for production scheduling, materials coordination, team development, and operational performance to ensure customer orders are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate production priorities, machine loading, labor allocation, and materials availability.
• Monitor production performance, including throughput, downtime, scrap, and labor efficiency.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 15 production employees.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Partner with Customer Service, Purchasing, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations teams to support manufacturing objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with production scheduling, inventory control, and materials coordination.
• Experience leading hourly manufacturing employees.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• ERP system experience required; IQMS experience preferred.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

This position requires a combination of office and manufacturing floor presence with regular interaction with production personnel and equipment.
