Plant Accountant, Buffalo NY



Education:

Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business is preferred


Responsibilities

  • Ensures all work undertaken is carried out safely and without injury
  • Ensures all food safety issues are reported to the appropriate manager or supervisor
  • Administrates all aspects of payroll including all necessary reports
  • Maintains and audits time keeping system
  • Maintains Inventory system and resolves stuck transactions
  • Manages, processes, and reports daily/monthly cycle counts
  • Processes wire payments and deposits checks electronically
  • Prepares and posts standard journal entries
  • Assists in analyzing variances of financial results
  • Reconciles Inventory Accounts including Spare Parts
  • Reconciles Purchase Price Variance account
  • Reconciles Balance Sheet accounts
  • Reconciles Bank and Cash Flow
  • Manages intercompany accounts
  • Manages monthly Sales Use Tax
  • Bi-annual audit requirements
  • Reconciles Leases
  • Assists Finance team as needed


Qualifications:



3 years’ experience in an accounting role



1-3 years payroll experience



Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred



Proficient Microsoft Excel experience
