Office Coordinator
A premier, growing public interest law firm is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Office Coordinator.
Position Overview
Location: Washington, D.C. – in office Monday - Friday
Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 base salary (dependent on experience) + excellent benefits package.
Key Responsibilities include:
Coordinate schedules for internal and external meetings and conference spaces, assisting with videoconference setups, planning menus, and handling catering setups/breakdowns.
Serve as a reliable back-up for the front reception desk by answering incoming calls, routing them appropriately, and registering guests with building security. Help maintain a professional office appearance.
Manage incoming/outgoing courier requests, shipping/receiving, and mail distribution (including prepping correspondence with correct postage and verified addresses).
Independently manage inventory for the kitchen, office, and custodial supplies; liaise with vendors and code/submit invoices for payment.
Coordinate facility repairs (e.g., lighting, maintenance issues) and communicate directly with building management and external vendors.
Perform specialized projects for attorneys.
Records Management as needed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of Office Coordinator or Administrative experience preferred. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required; experience with facilities/space management software is a plus.
Strong sense of discretion.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A strong customer-service mindset.
A positive "no job too big, no job too small" attitude. You easily adapt to shifting daily priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort balancing multiple tasks of varying urgency and complexity under tight deadlines.
An enthusiastic interest in civil rights and public interest advocacy.
