Overview
Position is responsible for management of and policy development related to the LKE vehicle and equipment fleet including vehicle, equipment, and fuel procurement, operation, maintenance, contract development and contract management. Position is responsible for development of fleet strategy, standards, and budget to meet operating needs as well as all Department of Transportation, environmental and other regulatory requirements. Position ensures safe and efficient fleet maintenance practices are followed.
Responsibilities
Lead Transportation Department and Transportation Business Partners to ensure provision of a safe, efficient, cost effective, reliable vehicle and equipment fleet.
Develop corporate vehicle and equipment strategy and policy.
Develop and manage all fleet related contracts including but not limited to lease/purchase, maintenance and fuel.
Develop and obtain approval of corporate Transportation business plan and budgets and ensures financial commitments are met.
Develop fleet and equipment specifications to meet operational needs across of business units.
Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation, environmental, and other regulatory requirements.
Develop and manage fleet maintenance policies and practices to ensure cost effective operation and high availability of heavy duty and light duty fleets and equipment.
Ensure fleet management IT system meets business needs for data and reporting and complies with Sarbanes Oxley regulatory requirements

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in business or related field with five or more years’ experience in fleet management or similar operations management.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent leadership skills, high degree of technical knowledge, sound understanding of equipment maintenance, strong interpersonal skills, and basic knowledge of computer software applications.
