We are building the next generation of gameplay-driven interactive entertainment. Our studio focuses on acquiring and evolving legacy gaming IP that helped define entire eras of players. We seek out franchises with proven impact and passionate communities, and bring them forward using modern technology, deeper gameplay systems, and a player-first design philosophy.
Our current project centers around a well-known legacy sports IP that previously sold millions of copies. Our goal is not simply to recreate what existed before, but to evolve it — pushing gameplay systems, design, and competitive depth to a new level. We believe the best games emerge when technical excellence, physics engines, and player-first design intersect.
The Role
We are looking for a Lead Gameplay Engineer to help shape the core mechanics of a major sports gameplay experience. In this role, you will design and implement the systems that define how players interact with the game — from moment-to-moment control and physics interactions to deeper gameplay mechanics that drive fun, competitive play.
You will collaborate closely with designers and engineers to transform creative ideas into high-performance gameplay systems. As a technical leader, you will guide engineering practices, mentor developers, and help architect scalable gameplay frameworks.
Responsibilities
Design, prototype, and implement core gameplay mechanics and systems
Architect scalable gameplay frameworks that support evolving features
Work closely with game designers to translate creative vision into responsive player experiences
Lead and mentor gameplay engineers across the team
Develop systems that balance gameplay with engagement, responsiveness, and player control
Rapidly prototype gameplay ideas and iterate through testing and feedback
Optimize gameplay performance and maintain code quality across the project
Contribute to solving complex challenges related to physics, player interaction, and game feel
Qualifications
Extensive experience in gameplay programming or game systems engineering
Strong proficiency with object-oriented programming and software architecture
Experience working with modern game engines — Unreal Engine strongly preferred
Deep understanding of game design principles and player interaction systems
Proficiency in computer languages used in game development
Experience collaborating with or leading engineering teams
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate in fast-moving development environments
Bonus Experience
Experience working on sports, simulation, or physics-heavy gameplay systems
Experience shipping commercial or AAA games
Experience building player control systems, physics interactions, or competitive gameplay mechanics
Passion for crafting responsive, skill-based gameplay experiences
Why Join Us
The studio produces owner-created games built by people who care deeply about the craft of making great games. Decisions are made by creators, not layers of corporate management. That means engineers, designers, and artists work closely together to shape the experience, integrate quickly, and focus on what matters most: building exceptional gameplay.
Our approach is intentionally focused. Rather than chasing trends, we concentrate on acquiring and evolving proven legacy IP — giving those franchises the attention, technical depth, and gameplay innovation they deserve with a modern, physics-breaking update.
Joining our team means helping define the future of a franchise that already has a passionate player base, while having the freedom to build systems the right way — from the ground up — with modern tools and engineering standards.
If you are passionate about gameplay systems, technical craftsmanship, and building experiences players will spend years mastering, we would love to talk.
