Role Overview
Reporting to the Digital Learning Lead, the L&D Digital Learning Analyst/Apprentice will support the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of learning and development data, systems, and reporting. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate learning records, producing meaningful reports and insights, and supporting the development of digital solutions that enhance learning analytics, reporting capability, and decision-making.
Using learning data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and workforce development needs, the postholder will provide valuable information to stakeholders that supports compliance, engagement, and organisational performance.
As part of the role, the successful candidate will undertake a relevant apprenticeship qualification in an area such as Data Analytics, People Data, or AI and Data, enabling them to develop the knowledge, skills, and experience required to build a career in learning, workforce development, and digital learning technologies.
The postholder will also support the design, administration, delivery, and continuous improvement of digital learning solutions that help colleagues develop the skills and knowledge needed to deliver outstanding care and support services.
Key Responsibilities
Learning & Development Administration
Maintain accurate learner records and training data.
Produce reports and insights on learning activity, compliance training, and learner engagement.
Support the coordination of training programmes, workshops, webinars, and learning events.
Monitor apprenticeship progress and maintain relevant documentation.
Assist with evaluation activities to measure learning effectiveness and impact.
Data & Reporting
Use Microsoft Excel to manage, analyse, and report on learning data.
Create and maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, reports, charts, and tracking tools.
Support data quality checks to ensure the accuracy of learning records.
Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for managers and stakeholders.
Analyse learning and workforce data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and insights that support organisational decision-making.
Digital Learning Support
Support the administration and ongoing management of the Learning Management System (LMS).
Upload, test, monitor, and update learning resources and online training materials.
Assist in developing digital learning assets including guides, videos, infographics, and interactive learning content.
Support learners and managers with access to digital learning platforms and resources.
Continuous Improvement
Keep up to date with developments in digital learning, learning technologies, and best practices within the Health and Social Care sector.
Contribute ideas for improving learner engagement and digital learning experiences.
Support projects aimed at enhancing workforce development and mandatory training compliance.
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience
Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
Strong interest in Learning & Development, digital learning, and employee development.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications.
