Our client, a Private Equity owned company is seeking a CFO. The CFO will oversee all accounting and finance functions, provide strategic financial guidance, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, and develop financial plans that support continued growth and profitability. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable developing long-term strategy and rolling up their sleeves to support the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Serve as a trusted financial advisor to ownership and executive leadership.
• Develop financial strategies that support the company's long-term growth, profitability, and operational objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow, operational efficiency, and working capital.
• Evaluate business performance and recommend initiatives to drive sustainable growth.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
• Develop rolling forecasts and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor key financial metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Analyze variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and present timely, accurate monthly financial statements and executive reports.
• Provide financial reporting and performance analysis to ownership, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Develop meaningful KPIs and dashboards to improve visibility into business performance.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Accounting & Finance Leadership

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including:
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
• Manage relationships with external CPA firms, banks, auditors, insurance providers, and other financial partners.

Cash & Risk Management

• Monitor company cash flow and liquidity.
• Develop cash flow forecasts and working capital strategies.
• Assist ownership with financing activities and banking relationships.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years related Sr. Leadership experience (CFO, VP Finance etc...) with a small to mid-size business.
• Experience working for a Private Equity
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• ERP system experience required; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• ERP implementation or major system conversion experience.
