About This Role
As an integral member of our teaching team, the assistant teacher plays a vital role in fostering a secure, supportive, and engaging atmosphere for young learners. Responsibilities include assisting the lead teacher in overseeing daily classroom operations, contributing to curriculum development, and collaborating with the teaching team to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment. Effective communication with children, parents, and colleagues is essential in meeting the diverse needs of our students and addressing parental concerns.
What You'll Do
Develop engaging, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with early learning standards to promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children.
Establish and maintain open lines of communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and written reports to keep them informed about their child's progress.
Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment by adhering to strict hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards, and ensuring compliance with all center and state regulations.
Take the initiative to continuously improve professional skills and knowledge by developing and implementing a personalized professional development plan.
Stay up-to-date with accurate records, forms, and files, and utilize them effectively to inform instruction and enhance the learning experience.
Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan and deliver engaging group and individual activities that meet the unique needs and interests of children.
