Up in the air ☀️ In this test flight, we evaluated the aircraft’s stability during a hover, a yaw chirp, and a roll chirp. More flight data in the books! #FlightTest | #eVTOL

At Wisk, we’re making everyday, autonomous flight a reality for everyone.
About us
Wisk is a leading Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) company and developer of the first all-electric, autonomous, passenger-carrying air taxi in the U.S. In 2010, our team set out to explore the possibilities of electric, vertical takeoff and landing flight. Since then, we have developed multiple generations of aircraft and conducted more than 1750+ test flights. In 2023, Wisk became a fully-owned subsidiary of Boeing. While we operate separately, this relationship allows us to tap into Boeing’s development, testing, and certification expertise, and more. Headquartered in Mountain View, CA with locations around the world, our vision of delivering safe, everyday flight for everyone is closer than ever to becoming reality.

Over the last 16 years Wisk has set the benchmark for autonomous flight across the entire industry. Today, we take the next big step forward. Boeing has announced an agreement for Archer to acquire Wisk, SkyGrid, and Insitu Inc. As part of this deal, Boeing will invest in Archer and establish an ongoing technology sharing collaboration. Wisk will play a key role in accelerating Archer’s technology and portfolio of products across commercial and defense bringing the industry’s top autonomy team and a suite of highly complementary tech to Archer’s business. Together we’ll build the future of aviation. We’re excited for the opportunity to join forces with Archer after the deal closes and build a groundbreaking end-to-end physical AI platform for aerospace and defense. https://lnkd.in/gxKhE7Rq

🚀 Step inside our joint simulation with NASA Ames Research Center. Working alongside NASA controllers, our team demonstrated how a single ground supervisor can manage three autonomous aircraft simultaneously in complex airspace, while keeping communication and cognitive workload within safe limit.

Happy National Intern Day to this talented crew! ✈️💛 During Take Flight Day, our interns visited our Hollister and Fremont facilities, saw both Generation 6 aircraft up close, and explored motors, propellers, battery modules, the Iron Bird, and more. We’re grateful for the curiosity, energy, and fresh perspectives they bring to Wisk every day. #NationalInternDay | #WiskInterns | #AerospaceCareers

We’re building the autonomous aircraft, and SkyGrid is building the digital traffic management system to integrate it. Together, we’re laying the foundational framework required to modernize global airspace for autonomous flight. 🛫 Wisk: Developing the world's first self-flying, all-electric, four-seat passenger eVTOL designed to meet commercial certification standards. 🌐 SkyGrid: Providing the traffic management platform that integrates aeronautical and environmental data, offering operators a comprehensive view of the airspace. Safe autonomous flight takes a smart aircraft and a smart airspace. We're delivering both. #Airspace | #Autonomy | #AAM

ICYMI ✈️ We recently partnered with NASA Ames Research Center to simulate how a single ground-based supervisor can oversee three autonomous air taxis simultaneously as they fly alongside traditional air traffic in busy airspace. Safer skies one test at a time ✈️ Our researchers recently teamed up with Wisk Aero to evaluate how autonomous air taxis could safely integrate into the national airspace. The multi-day simulation tested various air traffic scenarios and studied how new flight concepts may affect workload and decision making. Insights from this test and others could help shape future standards, procedures, and tech that keep U.S. skies safe as new aircraft take flight.
