    The generation entering Medicare today is redefining what healthy aging looks like. They’re staying active, investing in their health, and looking for new ways to better understand and manage the chronic conditions that can have a meaningful impact on their lives. Today, WHOOP is proud to announce the launch of WHOOP Connected Care, a technology-enabled care initiative offered through participation in the CMS Innovation Center’s ACCESS (Advancing Chronic Care with Effective, Scalable Solutions) Model. The program is designed to help eligible Medicare beneficiaries use continuous health insights, personalized guidance, and ongoing clinical support to better manage certain chronic conditions over time. WHOOP CEO Will Ahmed appeared on Mornings with Maria today to announce WHOOP Connected Care and discuss how continuous health insights can help extend care beyond the doctor’s office. As part of that experience, eligible participants can receive a 12-month WHOOP membership and a blood pressure cuff at no out-of-pocket cost. This marks an important step forward for WHOOP as we expand how continuous health monitoring can connect everyday behaviors with the care people receive.     One of our most anticipated women’s health partnerships is finally here: WHOOP now integrates with Natural Cycles° Together, WHOOP and Natural Cycles are helping members better understand their bodies and feel greater clarity through every phase. Natural Cycles is the only FDA-cleared hormone-free birth control app. Through the integration, the overnight skin temperature data collected by WHOOP can sync automatically to the Natural Cycles app, where members receive a daily fertility status and personalized fertility insights to support family planning and pregnancy prevention. We're also proud to be the first wearable to include one year of Natural Cycles app access for eligible WHOOP members.     12,678 WHOOP members. 72 weeks. 3.7 million days of real-world data. One question: What does tobacco usage look like on WHOOP? Over the course of the study, members logged tobacco use on about 55% of days at the start. By week 72, that had fallen to about 27%. Members who reduced their tobacco use also saw improvements in: • Resting heart rate • Respiratory rate • Sleep duration One finding that stood out to us was the relationship between engagement and behavior. Members who logged their behaviors more consistently in the WHOOP Journal tended to show larger reductions in tobacco use. While this observational study cannot determine cause and effect, it reinforces an idea we've seen across multiple analyses: paying attention to your behaviors and your physiology may be associated with meaningful long-term change. We see this work as another step toward understanding how continuous physiological feedback can support people as they make health decisions for themselves.     On this week's episode of the WHOOP Podcast, WHOOP Staff Research Scientist Gregory Grosicki, PhD sits down with WHOOP Member Daniel Day to discuss his extraordinary health transformation. Over the course of three years, Daniel lost more than 125 pounds, improved his cardiometabolic health, and went from struggling to complete a one-mile run to crossing the finish line of a Half Ironman. Together, Daniel and Dr. Grosicki explore how sustainable habits, objective health data, and a clear sense of purpose helped turn small daily decisions into life-changing results. Three lessons that stood out: Find a reason that's bigger than the scale. For Daniel, lasting change was about building a healthier future. A family history of heart disease became the catalyst for change, giving him a purpose that carried him through the difficult days. Long-term transformation starts with a "why" that's strong enough to outlast short-term motivation. For Daniel, that “why” was ensuring he was serving his “heart, soul, and strength” to ensure he was showing up for himself in a healthy way. Consistency compounds over time. Daniel didn't lose 125 pounds overnight. He committed to small, repeatable habits every day. Daniel started with running, improving his sleep and changing his nutrition, which allowed him to gradually progress from his first mile to his first Half Ironman. Sustainable health is built through thousands of consistent decisions. Use data to create accountability. To Daniel, WHOOP became more than a fitness tracker, it became a daily feedback loop. By understanding how behaviors like sleep, alcohol, recovery, and training affected his body, Daniel was able to make informed decisions, stay accountable, and measure progress beyond the number on the scale. Over time, that translated into meaningful improvements in his recovery, cardiovascular health, and overall performance. The Bottom Line? Lasting health transformations come from building habits you can sustain. Start where you are, stay consistent, and use objective feedback to guide your progress. Together, they tackle some of the biggest misconceptions surrounding hormones, menopause, menstrual cycles, strength training, recovery, and what it really takes to build lifelong health and performance. Three lessons that stood out: Don't mistake complexity for credibility. Social media has made it easier than ever for misinformation to spread under the banner of "science." Dr. Colenso-Semple explains why it's essential to understand where evidence comes from, recognize the difference between animal studies and human research, and be cautious of anyone promising secret protocols or one-size-fits-all solutions. Great science should make people feel informed, not confused. Consistency will always outperform optimization. The biggest gains don't come from perfectly timing workouts around hormones or chasing the latest recovery trend. They come from finding an approach you can sustain for years. Whether it's lifting weights, going for a run, walking more throughout the day, or simply staying active, long-term consistency matters far more than chasing marginal gains. The key to fitness gains is in the fundamentals Despite countless claims that women need entirely different approaches to training, nutrition, and recovery, the evidence consistently shows that the same foundational principles apply. Progressive resistance training, consistency, adequate nutrition, and recovery remain the cornerstones of building muscle, improving fitness, and supporting long-term health, regardless of menstrual cycle phase or menopausal status. The Bottom Line? The science is remarkably empowering: you don't need to overhaul your training because of your hormones or life stage. Focus on the behaviors you can sustain, build strength over time, and don't let misinformation distract you from the habits that truly improve health and performance.
