Researchers at the WVU John Chambers College of Business and Economics are using grant funding from Arnold Ventures to study risky sports-betting behavior in West Virginia to help protect gamblers and their families. “As more states allow online gaming, the need for evidence-based research is growing. Marc and Amy Yester for a $10,000 gift, establishing the WVU School of Medicine Class of 2006 Scholarship! 👏 Read below why they gave back and what they hope it inspires ⤵️ "Essentially, we’re donating money to inspire others in our class to donate and, hopefully, reach an endowment level to sustain an ongoing scholarship. Our individual motivation stems from being born and raised in West Virginia, my wife in Wheeling, and myself in Morgantown. We are homegrown, loyal, and indebted to WVU and especially the School of Medicine. In our time, we needed loans and scholarships to pay our way since our families did not have the background to provide financial support. We benefited from that, and now we would like to give back.
