Vantor is redefining what it means to understand the battlespace — from orbit to the front line. CBS News recently went inside Vantor to see how our unique spatial intelligence capabilities are helping customers navigate an increasingly contested world. The story offers a rare look inside our Mission Operations Center, including high-resolution imagery from our satellites of Chinese spacecraft in orbit. The report also highlights how Vantor's capabilities are supporting Ukrainian forces on the ground. As Vantor CEO Dan Smoot said, “the space domain has really become the new battlefront for war.” From spacecraft in orbit to forces on the ground, Vantor delivers trusted spatial intelligence that helps decision-makers see what’s happening, understand change, and act with greater confidence. Thank you to Olivia Gazis and the CBS News team for showing what’s at stake and why clarity across the battlespace matters. Watch the full story from CBS News.

This summer, four Vantor interns are gaining hands-on experience with our Radiometric Calibration, Assessment, and Monitoring team, contributing to projects spanning machine learning, robotics, software development and field operations. From developing AI-assisted tools for identifying calibration sites to supporting robotic measurement platforms and field calibration campaigns, Brandon Navejas, Lisha Maganti, Andrew Bruno and Ethan P. are are applying what they’ve learned in the classroom to work that helps ensure customers can trust the satellite imagery Vantor delivers. Their experiences show what’s possible when emerging talent has the opportunity to learn alongside experts, take on meaningful challenges and contribute to real-world missions. More data doesn’t automatically lead to better decisions. The advantage comes from turning that data into trusted intelligence fast enough to act. During our Coffee Talk at #DoDIIS26, Vantor Vice President of Intelligence Programs Brian Pope shared how Sentry brings multisource data together, automate repeatable workflows, and surface the insights that matter. When analysts spend less time sorting through information and managing disconnected workflows, they have more time to understand what’s happening, apply judgment, and give decision-makers the clarity they need. Missed our Coffee Talk? As response efforts continue following the powerful earthquake that struck western Colombia near San José del Palmar in Chocó, Vantor has activated its Open Data Program to provide frontline organizations, humanitarian responders, and the open-source mapping community with free access to high-resolution satellite imagery. Access the imagery: Open Data (S3): s3://vantor-opendata You can also explore the imagery through our partners: 👉 Development Seed STAC Map: https://lnkd.in/eWkQuurU 👉 Esri Disaster Imagery Explorer: https://lnkd.in/eisC2RFD 👉 moreGeo GmbH STAC Browser: https://lnkd.in/eGsHfaNT Our latest imagery provides visibility into earthquake-affected areas and can support damage assessment, identification of impacted infrastructure, and response planning. We’ll continue uploading new imagery as it becomes available in the coming days. All imagery is provided under a non-commercial Creative Commons 4.0 license (CC BY-NC 4.0). We hope this imagery helps responders understand the extent of the damage, prioritize impacted communities, and accelerate relief and recovery efforts.

The most important signals do not always appear first in a dashboard. They appear on the ground. A facility taking shape. New roads and utilities being built. Construction slowing down—or accelerating. These physical changes can indicate where markets are moving, where risk is emerging, and whether critical infrastructure is keeping pace. Fortune’s recent article examines how Vantor’s spatial intelligence capabilities help organizations identify and understand these changes sooner. Using high-fidelity satellite imagery, change detection, 2D and 3D analysis, and a continuously updated digital twin of the physical world, Vantor provides a clearer view of what is changing on the ground. That visibility supports infrastructure monitoring, investment analysis, risk assessment, and planning. Read the article: https://lnkd.in/e9DAjTZX

At the Potomac Officers Club 2026 Air & Space Summit, Vantor Vice President of Air and Space Michael Bergen shared a practical view of what it takes to move complex capabilities from prototype to mission impact. For efforts like Golden Dome and tactical ISR, the challenge is not simply developing more technology. It is connecting sensors, data, platforms, and mission workflows into an architecture that can be tested, improved, and trusted by operators. Michael emphasized the importance of clear requirements, open architectures, rigorous testing, and early warfighter feedback. Those elements help industry iterate faster, reduce integration risk, and deliver information in a form that supports better decisions at mission speed. That is central to Vantor’s work: integrating technology and data across complex mission environments so customers can turn disconnected capabilities into actionable intelligence. Thank you to moderators Iain Ferguson and Lacey Wean, and fellow panelists Col. Raj Agrawal, Col.Ryan Frazier, Col. Jason West, and Srikant Mantravadi for the thoughtful conversations.
