Agentic coding tools have changed how our engineers build. We’re shipping faster, tackling work that previously wouldn’t have made the cut, and seeing the boundaries between engineering and design start to blur. But speed is only useful if the software is reliable. That matters even more when you’re building for operators - a slow or wrong answer can affect the mission. We are proud to share that Vannevar’s Homeland Security products are now FedRAMP High authorized. Federal law enforcement agencies are increasingly challenged to identify threats, analyze complex information, and make critical decisions at speed. Vannevar’s products were built specifically for their mission, with responsible tools developed alongside the officers and analysts who protect our communities every day. FedRAMP High (Class D) certification enables federal agencies to deploy Vannevar’s technology in some of the government's most sensitive environments, helping them detect threats sooner, analyze faster, and act with greater confidence. This milestone would not have been possible without our partners at Knox Systems, Inc.. Their team helped us navigate the FedRAMP process at remarkable speed, allowing us to stay focused on what matters most: building technology that delivers real-world outcomes for homeland security and public safety. Why do people choose to work in national security? For many of us, it starts with interesting technical problems. But over time, the reason we stay becomes something else entirely: the people on the other side of the work. In this piece, Scott Weitzner reflects on his journey from finance to defense, and how sitting alongside users changed the way he thinks about building software. The lesson is simple but powerful: the closer builders are to the people they serve, the more they understand what actually matters. At Vannevar, we've learned that software isn't the outcome. The outcome is what the software enables. Earlier this month, the Vannevar team had the honor of participating in National Police Week 2026 alongside members of the law enforcement community from across the country. From attending the wreath laying ceremony, where 363 fallen officers were added to the National Law Enforcement Memorial, to joining the Candlelight Vigil and joining conversations throughout the week, we were reminded of the extraordinary sacrifice carried by the people who serve and protect our communities. We were also grateful to contribute to discussions around one of the most urgent challenges facing law enforcement today: countering fentanyl supply chains and the operational gaps that still exist across agencies and jurisdictions. The conversations reinforced something we believe deeply at Vannevar: technology is only valuable if it is responsible, effective, and built in close partnership with the investigators and officers who rely on it. We are honored to be included in the Silicon Valley Defense Group NatSec100 for the fourth consecutive year. While the NatSec100 reflects our public momentum, most of the work that defines Vannevar happens behind the scenes and in the field, alongside the operators and public servants carrying out difficult missions every day. Over the last year, we’ve built and deployed new products that are helping to preserve the lives of our public servants and generate outcomes across from competition to conflict.
