We'll fill Pack Square Park with incredible local DJs, live musicians, marching bands, youth performances, community organizations, games, and so much more. And yes, the food trucks are FREE while supplies last! Rain doesn't stop a community that's committed to showing up for one another. This completely free event will feature youth musicians, a marching band, cheer squads, interactive activities for the kids, nearly 80 community organizations, oh and free meals for the first 750 guests. Recovery is a long-term commitment, and meaningful progress happens when communities invest in one another. Over the past year, United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County has coordinated four AmeriCorps NCCC teams to support Hurricane Helene recovery efforts throughout Buncombe County. Our most recent team, Maple 1, helped repair homes, strengthen recovery projects, and support families working to return home. Their service is a powerful reminder that recovery takes partnership. Thanks to the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community supporters, we are able to connect skilled service teams with local organizations doing critical recovery work.
