National Health Center Week is a celebration of what we can accomplish when community comes together! On Saturday, August 8, Universal Community Health Center will host our National Health Center Week Community Celebration, bringing together community members, partners, and organizations for a morning of food distribution, health education, community resources, and family activities. Community health extends beyond people, it includes the pets that are part of our families. 🐾🩵 Through our partnership with Wallis Annenberg PetSpace, more than 75 cats and dogs received wellness exams, vaccines, microchips, pet food, supplies, nail trims, and other essential services during our first Pet Wellness Clinic. This event was made possible through the collaboration of Wallis Annenberg PetSpace, Wash My Dog LA, recent graduates from Western University of Health Sciences, RVT students from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, volunteers, and community partners who share a commitment to expanding access to care. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success.
