  • "What's your average time to fill?" If you work in staffing or recruiting, you've probably been asked that question more times than you can count. How long does it take to get the right person into an open role? It's one of the most common ways we measure hiring speed. But there's a lot hiding behind that number. When a role sits open, the work doesn't disappear. It gets redistributed. Teams stretch. Priorities compete. Momentum slows. But hiring faster shouldn't mean compromising on the person you hire. This week's #MomentumMonday recognizes the employers proving that speed and quality don't have to be a tradeoff. They're the ones creating clearer processes, making decisions with intention, and connecting great talent with opportunities faster. Because behind every time-to-fill metric is a team ready for support and a talented person ready for their next opportunity. The goal isn't just to fill the role faster. It's to get the right person there when they're needed most.

  • 🍂 Every company says they're “flexible”... But what does flexibility actually look like? As summer winds down and families settle into new routines with the back to school season, we're asking the team at Hey Girl Friday® to share what flexibility means in their day-to-day lives. For some, it's starting work before the house wakes up. For others, it's stepping away for pickup and logging back in later. Sometimes it's using PTO without feeling guilty. Sometimes it's simply having the freedom to work where you're most productive. So we'll start with one question: What does flexibility look like for you? Swipe right to see real stories from Hey Girl Friday Executive Assistants, because the best way to understand a workplace culture is to hear it from the people actually living it. Does flexibility look different for you? Post your answer in the comments!

  • Everyone has a superpower. It might be solving complex problems, leading through change, or seeing possibilities others might miss. Or maybe it's being the Snack Finder, Chaos Coordinator, Cozy Maker, or Keeper of Good Vibes. At The Mom Project, we believe every member of our MOM community brings unique superpowers to the workplace. Recently, our President, Tricia House, and Managing Director of Marketplace Solutions, Cait Wright had the opportunity to visit Etsy's Brooklyn headquarters, strengthening a partnership we're proud to have built over the years. We were also honored to participate in Etsy's annual Family Day for the third year in a row. This year's celebration invited employees and their families to reflect on their own superpowers through creative activities, including a ribbon craft station where kids and their families celebrated the strengths that make them unique. Thank you to the Etsy team for welcoming us back for another Family Day! We're proud to continue supporting this tradition and look forward to many more years of partnership.

Good planning isn't just about getting work done. It's about making sure work keeps moving, even when someone steps away. The best organizations don't wait until someone is preparing for time away to ask, "Who's covering this while you're out?" They answer that question before it's ever asked. Thoughtful leave planning supports employees, reduces disruption, and gives managers confidence that business won't miss a beat. That's why more organizations are treating leave coverage as part of their workforce strategy, not just a last-minute task. • 42% is more than a statistic. It's a signal. According to Catalyst, 42% of women who voluntarily left their jobs said caregiving responsibilities—including the cost of childcare—influenced their decision. When nearly half of women point to the same challenge, it's worth asking whether we're looking at individual choices—or structural barriers. At The Mom Project, we believe this isn't just a workforce issue. It's a workplace design issue. Supporting caregivers isn't simply an employee benefit. It's a business strategy for attracting, retaining, and unlocking one of today's most experienced talent pools. 📖 Source: Catalyst, Caregiving Pressures Top Factor Pushing Women Out of the Workforce #WorkforceIntelligence #WomenAtWork #FutureOfWork #Caregiving #TheMomProject

  • Recruiters hear this sentence more often than they should. "I'm worried the gap on my resume will keep me from getting an interview." Whether that gap came from caregiving, an unexpected career transition, recovering from an illness, military service, relocation, education, entrepreneurship, or simply life's unexpected turns, it doesn't diminish your experience or potential. This week's #MomentumMonday recognizes the employers challenging one of hiring's oldest assumptions—that the best talent always has the most linear career path. Because a career doesn't have to be linear to be exceptional. Sometimes talent comes back with even greater perspective, resilience, and leadership.

  • One of our team members recently checked in on her neighbors, who had just welcomed a new baby. When she asked how they were doing, their answer surprised us. "Much better now that we're finally getting some sleep at night." The reason? They had access to overnight postpartum support through a benefit offered by one of their employer's family support program. It was a reminder that supporting working parents doesn't begin and end with parental leave. For many families, the real challenge begins after they bring their baby home. This week's #MomentumMonday recognizes employers that are investing in benefits beyond traditional leave policies—from postpartum doulas and lactation support to expert coaching and childbirth education. Because sometimes the most meaningful benefits aren't the ones employees talk about during open enrollment. They're the ones employees remember when they need them most. 👏 Here's to employers who continue raising the bar for working families.
