    I have some exciting news. Overstory has been ranked #151 on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. As part of this recognition, I got to ring the opening bell of the Nasdaq this morning with just a few other people. It was fun being back in Times Square, where my career started and where I worked for 14 years.  I'm so grateful to our customers, our investors, and our passionate team for helping us get here. Three years of consistent growth comes from utilities trusting us to help them reduce their storm and wildfire risks.   • Over the past decade, electric utilities have invested billions of dollars in wildfire prevention. That investment has paid off measurably. But it has not changed one stubborn fact: when an ignition happens anyway, someone still has to put it out fast.   Autonomous aerial systems are now reaching a capability threshold that makes rapid, utility-coordinated initial attack feasible in ways it has never been before. Companies like Seneca are building AI-piloted suppression aircraft that can carry meaningful payloads, launch from any terrain, and arrive on scene in under ten minutes.   • Can data centers become part of the solution to the grid constraints they're helping create? That's the premise behind Google's latest work on distributed energy resources — from batteries and demand response to energy efficiency. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CoS will serve as a deeply trusted partner, ensuring senior leaders stay fully aligned and informed.     What a fantastic day in Denver. Together with Xcel Energy, Technosylva and The Ad Hoc Group, we brought together utility leaders from across the Midwest, Southwest, Central, and Southeast to share practical lessons on preparing for the growing realities of wildfire and extreme weather risk. For some utilities, this is a relatively new challenge. But one thing became clear throughout the day: The conversation has shifted from whether wildfire will become a risk to how utilities prepare for it. The workshop focused on practical steps utilities can take to strengthen resilience: 🔥 Understand your risk. Every utility is different, but taking a data-driven approach to assessing wildfire and extreme weather risk is the foundation for everything that follows. 🤝 Collaboration drives better outcomes. Leaders from Xcel Energy, CORE Electric Cooperative, the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention & Control, and the Douglas County Sheriff's Office shared how Pano AI’s situational awareness capabilities are strengthening cross-agency coordination, enabling faster operational decisions, and helping reduce the consequences of wildfire.     Last week The Ad Hoc Group joined Xcel Energy, Technosylva, and Pano AI at the Wildfire Readiness & Resilience Workshop: Strategies for Utilities Beyond the West in Denver, CO. The workshop reinforced how important it is for utilities, emergency response partners, and industry leaders to share lessons learned, practical strategies, and next steps. Some key takeaways from the workshop included: Wildfire risk is no longer limited to the West. Utilities across the Midwest, Plains, Great Lakes, and other regions are beginning to see how drought, wind, fuel conditions, and changing weather patterns can create wildfire exposure. Risk is dynamic and changes day by day. Static risk maps are helpful for long-term planning, but real-time weather, fuel conditions, wind, humidity, outage risk, and ignition potential are critical for making informed operational decisions. Preparedness requires multiple layers of defense. From meteorology, modeling, weather stations, AI cameras, to vegetation management, system hardening, EPSS, and PSPS, utilities are building layered approaches to reduce risk. Ad Hoc’s Anjana Agarwal participated on a Financial, Insurance, and Regulatory Implications of Wildfire Risk panel and Joshua Grelle moderated a Wildfire Planning: First Steps on Preparing, Preventing, and Responding to Wildfire Risk panel.
