The momentum at East Tennessee Economic Council (ETEC)'s Nuclear Opportunities Workshop (NOW) has strengthened our commitment to Tennessee's future in nuclear energy! NOW brought together industry, government, education and workforce partners to connect, collaborate and discuss what's next as Tennessee continues to lead in this critical industry. An incredible start to the week in Roane County and the ribbon cutting at TCAT Harriman. This $46.3 million investment in technical education and training will transform workforce development throughout the region. Thanks to all who made this project possible, including Gov. Bill Lee, Sen. Ken Yager and the entire General Assembly. This would not be possible without their steadfast support and historic investment!

On July 16, TBR hosted its inaugural College Leadership Summit, bringing together 140 attendees from all 35 colleges — including members of all five system subcouncils — to develop the foundational building blocks of a TBR AI Blueprint, grounded in the strategic plan "Building Tomorrow's College." The day featured lively, cross-functional discussions, and college teams showed notable creativity as they wrestled with the complexity of AI and its tradeoffs. That energy and insight will shape what comes next, as the TBR Policy and Strategy team will now process the feedback gathered at the Summit and begin drafting an AI Blueprint. Stay tuned for updates as this work moves forward!
