Sully-Miller joined the City of Irwindale at the 2026 Rockabilities End of Summer Luau, an event that fosters meaningful connections and opportunities with intellectual and physical disabilities. Throughout the day, employees volunteered in handing out leis, helped in various event activities, and even participated in traditional Hawaiian dances alongside performers.
Last week, Sully-Miller interns got an up-close look at our LAX jobsite in action. With support from the LAX project team, they learned about concrete paving operations, safety protocols, and the unique responsibilities and coordination that come with working alongside Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). Interns enjoyed the opportunity to safely access the taxiway where they observed the planes taxiing and taking off firsthand.
Sully-Miller employees were proud to support local students and foster youth as they prepare for the new school year. In collaboration with Happy Hope and Foster Love, our team assembled 150 backpacks from Happy Hope for students at Huntington Park Elementary, along with 75 backpacks and 30 STEM Boxes from Foster Love for foster youth Thank you to everyone who showed up to make a positive impact and give back to our communities.
Over the weekend, Sully-Miller employees and their families enjoyed a fun-filled day at Camp James in Newport Beach. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year's company picnic a memorable one. We were also proud to support the Victorville Women's Shelter through donations, helping make a positive impact in our community.
Sully-Miller's Estimating Team and LAWA Operations Team welcomed more than 70 students representing over 15 high schools to participate in the 2026 Girls Build LA program. Students gained firsthand exposure to the construction industry by pouring concrete alongside our operations team and learning the fundamentals of estimating, project delivery, and infrastructure development. We're proud to partner with Girls Build LA in empowering young women and connecting them with industry professionals through immersive, hands-on learning experiences that inspire future leadership.

United Rock Products had the pleasure of hosting students from the Irwindale Library Summer STEM Program for a tour of the URP operation! This educational experience allowed students to explore the Olive Pit, Main Plant, and Pit 2 where they learned workplace safety, aggregate production, and reclamation. For the Touch-a-Truck portion of the day, students were able to get up close and personal with a wheel loader and speak to one of the operators. To wrap up the visit, everyone received a swag bag featuring our very own coloring book to highlight some of the key conversations throughout the day. A special thanks to Matthew Tabizon, Library Supervisor for the City of Irwindale for allowing us to connect with the community and inspire the next generation through STEM!
Last week, Sully-Miller's interns visited our I-10 job site, the largest project in our company's history. Team members guided the interns through various areas of the project, giving them a firsthand look at the planning, coordination, and construction efforts required to deliver a job of this scale.
