On July 7, 2026 Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS (AMFEMS) held a groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate the start of the construction project to build a new fire station (Station 36) in the Fisherville area. Attendees included AMFEMS staff and leaders, board of trustees, elected officials, community members, and representatives from PRIME AE Group, Inc. and Sullivan & Cozart. “Years from now, people will drive past this building, without much thought of how it came to be,” said Chief Pat Walsh. “But everyone standing here today will know that we witnessed the beginning. We will remember that this was the day that our community chose to invest in it’s future. We will remember that this was the day that we took another significant step toward building an organization that will continue serving with excellence for generations.” “It is a pleasure for Sullivan & Cozart to have been selected to participate in such a great project. This project has been well thought out and well designed and will be here for many years to come,” said Dan Polston, Sullivan & Cozart’s Vice President. “We are proud to be part of this team and look forward to working with Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS.” “It is really wonderful to work on a project that is specific towards community service and we appreciate the chance to be a part of this process,” said Craig Vander Even, Prime AE Group, Inc. Architectural Practice Lead. “I hope that when the final construction is all done, we can be very proud of this building. It’s going to be a building that will be lasting a long time for the community.”

The new, state-of-the-art, 18,000 square-foot Fern Creek branch of the Louisville Free Public Library is coming right along. The space is filled with natural light, thanks to abundant windows. It will also offer quiet reading areas, flexible meeting rooms, and spaces designed for children and teens. We’re truly excited to bring this project to life, and we look forward to opening the doors this fall. Studio Kremer Architects Studio Shea Louisville Free Public Library
