About us
Sigma Chi (Σχ) was founded on June 28, 1855, at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. It was created by seven men between the ages of 14 to 25 as a literary society. The Fraternity's primary purpose, they believed, was to appreciate, develop and promote the core values of Friendship, Justice and Learning. Today, our mission is to develop values-based leaders committed to the betterment of character, campus and community. Sigma Chi's vision is to become the preeminent collegiate leadership development organization — aligned, focused and living our core values. Sigma Chi Fraternity International Headquarters is located at 1714 Hinman Avenue, Evanston, Illinois 60201-0469.

Congratulations to Significant Sig Drew Brees, PURDUE 2001, on being inducted into the NFL's Hall of Fame Class of 2026! Brees was drafted 32nd overall in the 2001 NFL Draft and, in 20 seasons, was named to the Pro Bowl 13 times, amassed 172 wins and led the New Orleans Saints to a Super Bowl title in 2010, alongside Saints head coach and fellow Significant Sig Sean Payton, EASTERN ILLINOIS 1987.
