Help us get the word out! Because when the school year ends, many students lose access to the breakfasts and lunches they relied on during the school day—but that doesn't mean kids should go hungry. Summer nutrition programs like this help bridge that gap for families. Across Washington State, partners served more than 1.2 million meals at 717 sites last year. Averaged across the summer, this represents more than 22,000 kids per day! We’re proud to partner with organizations across the state—here’s the scoop on our free summer meals work with the City of Seattle: "How do I find a site?" ✔️ Use our Free Summer Meals Site Finder at freesummermeals.org "What do I need to bring?" ✔️ Nothing! No registration, application, or ID required. By keeping this program low-barrier, we served 80,000 meals and snacks to kids in Seattle alone last summer. "Who runs this?" ✔️ We help operate 50 Free Meals Sites across the city in partnership with Seattle Human Services Department, Seattle Parks and Recreation, and Seattle Public Schools. AND we partner with more than a dozen local orgs! This week is Free Summer Meals Week, an initiative to help spread the word. Together, let's keep kids fed!
