To understand socialism, you need to understand communism, and where its most radical promises have led. Did you know President Reagan’s 1985 Inaugural Parade was held at Walt Disney World? When record-breaking cold canceled the traditional parade in Washington, thousands of high school musicians who had traveled to the capital were left without the chance to march. But their story didn’t end there. Four months later, in a presidential history first, the Inaugural Bands Parade got a second chance—at Walt Disney World. More than 40 years later, former CEO of The Walt Disney Company, Michael Eisner, joined us at the Reagan Library and reflected on that memorable day, when President and Mrs. Reagan traveled to EPCOT to finally see the bands march. 🇺🇸

25 years ago today, Maureen Reagan, the daughter of President Ronald Reagan, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. A proud and active Republican, Maureen was a passionate advocate for the principles her father championed throughout his life and presidency. She was also deeply devoted to her family and shared an especially close bond with her stepmother, Nancy Reagan, whom she called her “very best friend.” Today, we remember Maureen’s strength, conviction, and devotion to the people and principles she loved.
