We worked with The Collab Collective to survey 514 workplace professionals about office friction. The results weren't what we expected. 60% say office friction has gotten worse this year. Only 12% say it's improved. And the people managing the space every day rate the problem 13 points higher than the employees living in it. We turned the findings into a full report, plus a benchmark so you can see exactly where your own office stands: https://lnkd.in/gZ--C8CK

$4.5M to $9M. That’s how much office breakdowns cost an 1,000-employee organization per year. To better understand where these inefficiencies live and how to fix them, we surveyed over 500 professionals with The Collab Collective and Craig Durr. Check out the results here: https://lnkd.in/gZ--C8CK

We worked with The Collab Collective to survey 500+ hybrid workers this year, split between the people running offices and the people working in them. Here’s what we found. In the most disconnected offices (where room booking, desk booking, and team coordination all live in separate tools that don't talk to each other) 63% of employees said friction was a drag on their productivity. In the most connected offices (where everything runs through one system) only 14% said the same. That's a 4.5x difference between the two groups. Full numbers are in the 2026 Workplace Friction Report: https://lnkd.in/gZ--C8CK

“Workplace operations teams see friction as a systemic problem because they’re the ones fielding the escalations. Employees just experience it as one more frustrating moment in their day, and that mismatch is exactly why point solutions haven’t solved this.” -Craig Durr, Chief Analyst and Founder of The Collab Collective https://lnkd.in/gMFgS2jN

5 signs your office has a friction problem, based on our new research with Craig Durr and The Collab Collective of 500+ hybrid workers: 1. Meetings quietly move to Google Meets, even when everyone's in the building. 2. Nobody can say for certain who's actually in the office today. 3. The same conference rooms are always double-booked. 4. Employees stop reporting problems because nothing changes. 5. Workplace Ops and employees describe the office experience completely differently when you ask them. Recognize two or more of these signals?
