  • At RoadSafe, technology plays an important role in helping teams work more efficiently, stay connected, and keep operations moving. Meet Mitchell Barczy, Director of Enterprise Applications. Over his 3+ years with RoadSafe, Mitchell has focused on delivering strong, secure applications that support employees across the company. One of his favorite parts of the job is collaborating with both corporate and field teams to improve enterprise systems, add new features, and make day-to-day work easier. Most recently, Mitchell helped lead the upgrade and move of HCSS to the web, creating an enhanced, modern, and fully featured platform that gives branches greater flexibility and visibility into their daily work. For Mitchell, the goal is simple: build tools that reduce manual effort, improve functionality, and help teams focus more time on the work that matters. “I truly value the ability to service the organization and all employees with the utmost respect and care while delivering a strong, secure application,” Mitchell shared. Thank you, Mitchell, for your commitment to supporting our teams, improving our systems, and helping RoadSafe continue moving forward.

  • At RoadSafe, safety is built through leadership, coaching, consistency, and people who take pride in helping teams get better every day. This month, we are proud to spotlight Salvador Aguiniga, Regional Health & Safety Manager. Salvador has been with RoadSafe for 3 years and brings nearly 20 years of experience in the traffic control industry. He started his career in the field as a Traffic Control Superintendent, giving him firsthand knowledge of what crews need to stay safe, prepared, and successful on the job. In his current role, Salvador supports the operational needs of many branches across New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Louisiana, including Albuquerque, Houston, Laredo, Austin, Corpus Christi, Shreveport, Tulsa, Benton, and El Dorado. His work supports teams across traffic control, pavement marking, and sign installation operations. Salvador helps branches with day-to-day safety and compliance needs so operations can run smoothly and efficiently. He conducts job site audits, coaches team members through opportunities for improvement, and recognizes safe work practices and outstanding performance in the field. One of Salvador’s most memorable projects was leading RoadSafe’s transition to the Motive platform for vehicle-mounted cameras and fleet management. The project brought teams together across multiple branches to install cameras, train management on the Motive Fleet Dashboard, and guide drivers through daily vehicle inspections and workflows. Salvador and the team provided hands-on training so drivers and leaders could confidently use the system to support safety, compliance, and fleet performance. As a Marine Corps veteran, Salvador brings discipline, commitment, and steady leadership to everything he does. He takes pride in helping RoadSafe and our customers create safer work zones for our employees and for everyone traveling through them. Thank you, Salvador, for your leadership, dedication, and continued commitment to strengthening RoadSafe’s safety culture.

  • Summer is one of the busiest seasons on the road.   Construction activity increases. Travel picks up. Temperatures climb. The margin for distraction gets smaller.   Across the country, RoadSafe crews are working long days and overnight shifts to help keep traffic moving and work zones protected. They set the devices, manage the closures, support the crews and stay focused in conditions that demand their best.   That work is not always visible to the people passing through. But it matters every single day.   To every RoadSafe team member working through the heat, the traffic and the long hours, thank you for showing up prepared and looking out for one another.   The season may be moving fast. Safety still comes first.

  • At RoadSafe, strong teams are built by leaders who understand the work from the ground up. Meet Jon Rider, Branch Manager for our Watsontown branch. Over his 9 years with RoadSafe, Jon has built his career from field experience to branch leadership, helping grow and strengthen the Watsontown and York branches while also supporting teams across the region. For Jon, one of the most rewarding parts of the job is building a team and watching people grow. He enjoys taking a project from planning through execution, solving problems along the way, and helping make sure crews, customers, and the traveling public stay safe. “No two days are the same, and that’s part of what I like about it,” Jon shared. His time at RoadSafe has reinforced the importance of leadership, accountability, communication, and having the right people in the right places. Those lessons shape how he supports his team and serves customers every day. Jon also wants customers to know that traffic control is much more than putting cones on the road or setting up signs. It takes careful planning, coordination, and a real commitment to safety. “We take pride in planning the work, protecting our crews and yours, keeping the public safe, and doing the job right,” he said. Thank you, Jon, for your leadership, dedication, and continued commitment to the RoadSafe team.

  • Roadway safety does not clock out when the sun goes down.   Across night shifts, RoadSafe crews are out setting traffic control, supporting closures, guiding drivers through changing conditions, and helping work happen safely while communities sleep.   It is demanding work. It is careful work. And it often happens when most people never see it.   To the crews working under lights, behind barrels, and against the clock: thank you.   Your work matters long before the morning commute begins.

  • America’s roads carry the story of who we are, connecting families, communities, workers, businesses, and the places we gather to celebrate. From your local parade to that major infrastructure project, our teams are honored to help protect the people who build, maintain, and travel the roadways that bring America together. Happy Independence Day from RoadSafe.

  • Employee Shoutout: Michael McDonald A Kansas motorist, Dave Taylor, recently reached out to recognize RoadSafe team member Michael McDonald for the great service he provided while flagging on a road striping project on Hwy. 99 heading north out of Sedan, Kansas. While Dave waited for the pilot car, Michael was personable, pleasant and professional. His positive attitude helped make the delay a better experience and left a strong impression. Dave summed it up best by calling Michael “one of the good guys.” Thank you, Michael, for representing RoadSafe so well in the field and for showing how much professionalism, patience and kindness matter in work zone safety. Great job, Michael!

  • A great reminder that safety is not only what happens inside the work zone. It is also how our teams show up for people when they need help. RoadSafe recently received a message from Paul and Polly Latham, who wanted to thank members of our Evansville, Indiana, team for assisting them when they were having trouble with their car. Lori, Adam, Jimmy and Brandon helped the couple change a tire and made sure the situation stayed safe for everyone nearby. Paul had recently experienced a heart attack, and the Lathams shared how much that help meant to them. They described the team as polite, professional and “a life saver.” We are proud to recognize Lori, Adam, Jimmy and Brandon for their quick response, kindness and commitment to safety. Thank you for representing RoadSafe so well in the field and in the community.

  • Employee Spotlight: Shannon Billings   We're proud to spotlight Shannon Billings, Total Rewards Manager, who has supported RoadSafe team members for the past eight years.   As Total Rewards Manager, Shannon plays an important role in helping employees understand and access the benefits and resources available to them. Her favorite part of the job is connecting with team members across the company, helping them navigate their benefits, and finding solutions that make their lives easier.   One of Shannon's most rewarding accomplishments has been supporting the implementation of new HR and benefits platforms and helping manage Open Enrollment. Seeing employees successfully navigate these tools and make informed benefits decisions makes all the hard work worthwhile.   When asked what she wants current and future customers to know about RoadSafe, Shannon points to the people behind the company. "I believe a little kindness and teamwork can go a long way. At RoadSafe, we have a great team, a strong safety culture, and take pride in what we do every day."
