AI is changing both sides of the hiring equation. Employers are using it to source and screen talent faster. Candidates are using it to optimize resumes, applications, and interview preparation. 45% of organizations in our poll said they’re constantly playing catch-up with technology change. That was the top response, and perhaps the most telling. What’s also interesting is the contrast: 41% said they’re staying ahead, while only 14% fell somewhere in between, either keeping up but finding it harder (5%) or actively transforming their IT teams (9%). The results suggest a widening divide. As AI, cloud, cybersecurity, automation, and modern architectures continue to evolve, some organizations are building the capabilities to move with that change while others might be finding it difficult to execute on tech strategy. Do these results reflect what your organization may be experiencing?

AI is changing hiring, but not in the way many people expected. Today, employers and candidates are often using the same AI tools. Organizations use AI to source, screen, and communicate with talent, while candidates use it to optimize resumes, tailor applications, and prepare for interviews. This has created "An AI vs. AI hiring" environment where efficiency has increased, but identifying the right person for the role has become more complex. When applications are increasingly polished and keyword-optimized, the competitive advantage isn't better technology, it's better judgment. The candidates who stand out are those who demonstrate what AI can't manufacture: critical thinking, adaptability, communication, curiosity, and problem-solving. The employers who hire best are those who combine AI with experienced recruiters who know how to ask deeper questions, recognize potential beyond a resume, and build authentic relationships. This reinforces the notion that while technology helps us move faster, people help us hire smarter. Read more: https://buff.ly/PlbyfSH

Technology is evolving faster than ever, but are hiring requirements evolving with it? Our latest poll found that: • 50% of organizations update their IT job descriptions every hiring cycle • 13% update them once a year • 37% update them only every few years or rarely at all As AI, cloud, cybersecurity, automation, and modern architectures continue to reshape IT, outdated job descriptions can create a hidden hiring challenge: screening for yesterday's skills instead of the capabilities needed to succeed tomorrow. Keeping hiring requirements aligned with today's technology landscape isn't just an HR best practice, it's a competitive advantage.

Remote technology roles continue to attract outsized interest, even as they become increasingly difficult to find. According to LinkedIn, just 9% of job postings are fully remote, yet they receive 37% of all applications. That imbalance underscores how much flexibility still matters to today's IT professionals. For employers, workplace strategy has become talent strategy. Organizations that intentionally balance flexibility, collaboration, and business needs will be better positioned to attract and retain top technology talent. For job seekers, the competition for remote opportunities means specialized skills, a strong portfolio, and the ability to demonstrate success in distributed teams can make all the difference. Explore why remote tech roles remain so competitive and what both employers and candidates should consider as the market continues to evolve. 📖 Read more: https://buff.ly/JWutoQd
