Congratulations to Prem Rabindranauth, MD, on the publication of a multicenter international randomized study in The Lancet. This groundbreaking research compared minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) with traditional sternotomy CABG and found meaningful benefits for patients, including fewer transfusions, reduced mechanical ventilation time and improved recovery throughout the first postoperative year. As the first randomized trial of its kind to focus on patient-reported outcomes, this study represents an important step forward in understanding how surgical approaches can impact recovery and overall patient experience. We are proud to see Prisma Health Heart & Vascular Institute physicians contributing to research that is helping shape the future of cardiovascular care around the world. 🔗Read the full article here: https://bit.ly/4xgsjx8 #PrismaHealthProud #PrismaHealthHVI #CardiacSurgery #HealthcareInnovation
