This week's announcement by the U.S. Economic Development Administration marks another important step forward for Virginia's advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing ecosystem. As a founding member of the Alliance for Building Better Medicine, Phlow is proud to celebrate the EDA's $15.97 million investment to launch the End-to-End Commercialization Project, a bold initiative that will strengthen America's ability to develop, manufacture, and deliver medicines domestically. Phlow is honored to contribute its expertise in domestic active pharmaceutical ingredient development and manufacturing alongside Civica Rx, Occam Systems, and more than 55 public and private partners working toward a stronger, more resilient pharmaceutical supply chain. Today is a milestone worth celebrating 🙌 🙌 🙌 The Alliance for Building Better Medicine (ABBM) is proud to celebrate a transformational investment from U.S. Economic Development Administration that will launch our End-to-End (E2E) Commercialization Project through Virginia’s Advanced Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (APM) Tech Hub. Together with our project partners Civica Rx , Phlow, Occam Systems, our lead-entity CCAM - Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing AND our coalition of more than 55 public and private partners, we are taking a significant step toward building America’s first fully integrated, end-to-end domestic medicines ecosystem. This investment represents more than a project — it is a milestone on our shared mission since 2020 to strengthening our nation’s pharmaceutical supply chain by connecting innovation-to-commercialization, advanced manufacturing, workforce development, and public-private collaboration into a single, coordinated ecosystem. Together, we will establish a fully integrated domestic supply chain for four critical sterile injectable medicines, helping strengthen our nation’s healthcare resilience while ensuring patients have reliable access to essential U.S.-made therapies. This moment reflects years of collaboration, vision, and persistence from partners across industry, academia, government, workforce, and economic development. Today, Phlow announces a leadership transition that reflects the strength of what we've built and our commitment to what comes next. Tim M. Mayleben has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at Phlow. Eric Edwards, MD, PhD, our co-founder, has transitioned to Chairman Emeritus and Strategic Advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors. Eric Edwards, MD, PhD built this company on a powerful idea: that America should make its own medicines, and that advanced manufacturing and science can lead the way to restore our country's pharmaceutical sovereignty. He turned that idea into a company with world-class manufacturing operations, foundational government partnerships, and a growing commercial platform. This transition was planned, led by Eric, and shaped in close partnership with Phlow's Board of Directors. He will continue to serve on Phlow's Board of Directors and will lead MedPhlow, our subsidiary focused on developing novel essential medicine delivery solutions, as its CEO. Tim M. Mayleben has been part of the Phlow story since 2023, first on our Business Advisory Board, then on our Board of Directors, and most recently as Board Chairman. He knows our programs, our people, and the partnerships that define our work. He brings more than 25 years of executive leadership in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries, and we're confident he is the right leader for this next chapter.
