We're still riding the high of #weAREonsemi Week and the incredible energy our teams brought to celebrations around the world. In Vietnam, Momentum Monday set the tone with employees across the site coming together to celebrate connection, teamwork and pride in being part of onsemi. The 'Strike in Orange' Photo Contest added a creative twist, giving teams a chance to show their onsemi spirit in orange-themed outfits and poses, while building even stronger connections across departments. Creative outfits. Big team spirit. Tons of personality. Exactly the kind of energy #weAREonsemi Week is all about.

What happens when you replace a robot’s wheels with propellers? You get a robot that flies. 🤖🚁 Underneath the surface, drones and autonomous mobile robots share many of the same building blocks: lithium-ion batteries, brushless DC motors, power conversion, processors and sensing technologies that help them understand and move through the world around them. The difference is that a drone has to do it all while staying in the air, putting even greater demands on efficiency, weight and sensing. onsemi helps engineers tackle both sides of the challenge. Intelligent power technologies improve efficiency and motor control, while sensing solutions help drones see, navigate, measure distance and maintain precise control in flight. Download our free Intelligent Power and Sensing Solutions for Drones tutorial to explore how power, motor control, imaging, sensing and connectivity come together inside a modern autonomous drone. See how these technologies work across the system and how many of the same building blocks are helping shape the next generation of robotics: https://lnkd.in/d4DEmWQy

What happens when silicon hits its limits in high-density power design? As efficiency demands rise and switching speeds climb, traditional MOSFETs and IGBTs are being pushed beyond their comfort zone — especially in data centers, renewable energy and advanced power conversion. SiC JFETs change the equation: 🔹 Lower conduction losses + ultra-low RDS(on) for higher efficiency and power density 🔹 Faster switching speeds to shrink magnetics and improve system performance 🔹 Reliable operation under extreme conditions where silicon begins to break down If you’re designing next-gen power systems, this is where wide bandgap moves from "nice to have" to necessary. 👉 Download the whitepaper: https://bit.ly/4oH8bBc onsemi #PowerElectronics #SiC #Engineering #onsemi #Avnet

More sensors aren’t always the answer to a smarter vehicle interior. 🧠🚘 Smarter cabins start with getting more value from the hardware that is already there. In a new interview with InCabin, Marek Hustava, product architect at the onsemi Design Center in Brno, explores how engineers can unlock more functionality from the sensors and actuators already inside your car. Ultrasonic sensing can do much more than detect presence. It can pick up micro-movements, support temperature monitoring and push more intelligence to the edge so the system can respond locally without relying on the central Fusion ECU for every decision. Marek also explains how ultrasonic sensing can complement cameras while preserving occupant privacy and reducing the processing required for in-cabin monitoring. Dive into the full interview to learn how ultrasonic sensing is opening up new possibilities for smarter, more efficient vehicle interiors. 👇 https://lnkd.in/gaJs2nhh

What better way to top off #weAREonsemi Week than with cake, ice cream and a little friendly service from the onsemi leadership team? 🎂🍦 Last week, onsemi celebrated our 27th anniversary with activities across our global sites that gave colleagues a chance to connect, celebrate and have a little fun together. One of the week’s biggest highlights was the Cake and Ice Cream Social at onsemi HQ, where members of the onsemi leadership team rolled up their sleeves and took a turn behind the scoop. The treats came with an extra scoop of impact, too. For every employee who attended, onsemi donated $27 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley - BGCArizona, turning a fun afternoon together into support for our local community. A sweet ending to a great week. Thank you to everyone who helped make #weAREonsemi week such a memorable celebration.

Today, Phoenix Center for the Arts had the pleasure of partnering with onsemi for their #weAREonsemi Week celebration through a creative activation we affectionately called Donuts & Doodles. Employees stepped away from their desks, picked up markers and paintbrushes, and connected through creativity, conversation, and community. From character sketches and illustrations to our collaborative paint-by-number mural, the room was filled with laughter, curiosity, and a reminder that art truly is for everyone. A heartfelt thank you to our incredible teaching artists: 🎨 Marcus Jackson of Drawing with M.A.R.C.U.S. Art
🎨 Damon Begay
🎨 Alexander Neish
🎨 Juan Paniagua, who designed and led the collaborative paint-by-number experience inspired by Arizona, innovation, and onsemi’s global impact. We’re grateful to onsemi for once again investing in local artists and trusting Phoenix Center for the Arts to create meaningful opportunities for connection through the arts. Experiences like this demonstrate that creativity is not separate from innovation; it is at the heart of it. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, doodled, painted, signed the mural, and embraced the joy of creating together. #weAREonsemi #PhoenixCenterForTheArts #ArtsAndCulture #STEAM

One of the best parts of an internship is getting to show what you’ve learned. 🎓💡 During Thank You Thursday of #weAREonsemi Week, our summer interns took center stage for the End-of-Internship Poster Session and AI Challenge Showcase. Intern Poster Day is one of the most anticipated events of the year. It gives interns the chance to share their projects, talk through the challenges they tackled and reflect on the impact they made during their time at onsemi. It also gives employees an opportunity to connect with emerging talent, ask questions and see fresh ideas in action. The event highlighted intern-led projects, innovative AI solutions and the curiosity shaping the next generation of talent at onsemi. Thank you to our interns for the energy, ideas and hard work you brought to onsemi this summer—and to the managers and teams who supported you along the way.

Generating renewable power is the easy part. Storing and managing it is where the real work happens. ⚡️🔋 Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are becoming a critical link between solar generation, EV charging, electrical loads and the grid. But designing one requires engineers to make important tradeoffs across system architecture, bidirectional power conversion, efficiency, safety and cost. Should the system be AC-coupled for greater flexibility and easier integration? Or DC-coupled to reduce conversion stages and energy losses? And which power topology will deliver the best performance in both charging and discharging modes? Our latest solution guide explores AC- and DC-coupled BESS designs, common power-conversion topologies, high-voltage design considerations and the semiconductor technologies supporting next-generation energy infrastructure. Download the free guide for a closer look at the design choices shaping the future of energy storage: https://lnkd.in/gKQaPC3t
