When it comes to your healthcare, quality matters! Neighborhood Health Center is once again the highest ranked health center in WNY for quality. Health centers across the nation are required to report a core set of information to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) about the care they provide. This includes information about health outcomes, patients' use of services, staffing, and costs. From this data, HRSA determines a quality score for each health center, and awards badges to those with high quality scores. Neighborhood was awarded a total of seven quality recognition badges for 2026. Thank you to everyone who celebrated National Health Center Week with us, from our Patient Appreciation Days, to the ribbon cutting for our newest site on Delaware Avenue, to our Staff/Board Appreciation Day. It was a great week! As we move beyond Health Center Week, let us not lose sight of why it's important to invest in health centers for the health of our communities. Check out the op-ed piece by Neighborhood's President & CEO Joanne Haefner published in the Buffalo News. https://lnkd.in/gU5WVsrm

Why does your health center matter to you? Health centers are important to Melissa Mosko, Neighborhood Health Center's director of training & development, because she knows what it’s like to not have access to healthcare. Her goal is to support Neighborhood in its mission to welcome all Western New Yorkers for high quality, patient-centered primary healthcare so that other people in our community can avoid the stress of having healthcare. Thank you for being Neighborhood, Melissa! #IAmNeighborhood #ValueCHCs

Thank you, Neighborhood patients. We appreciate you! And, thank you to everyone who stopped by our Patient Appreciation Days to celebrate National Health Center Week with us. We gave away backpacks, school supplies, and grocery bags, had some fun activities, and shared resources from our community partners. #WelcomeToNeighborhood

As we celebrate National Health Center Week, some Neighborhood Health Center providers and staff are sharing why they chose Neighborhood and what health centers mean to them. Dr. Ellis Gomez has been providing care at our Mattina location at 300 Niagara Street for decades. She shares that this neighborhood reminds her of the neighborhood where she grew up in the Bronx. Plus, her Spanish language skills help community members get the care they need. Thank you for being Neighborhood, Dr. Gomez! #WelcomeToNeighborhood #IAmNeighborhood #ValueCHCs

The health centers across the region are standing together for a healthy Western New York this National Health Center Week. Thank you, Jericho Road, Universal Primary Care, The Chautauqua Center, Evergreen Health, and Trillium. Neighborhood Health Center is proud to work with you toward our shared goal.
This National Health Center Week, WNY’s Community Health Centers are speaking with one voice. Together, we serve thousands of our neighbors every year with a simple belief: everyone deserves care. No matter your insurance status. No matter your income. No matter what language you speak. No matter what challenges you’re facing. As Federally Qualified Health Centers, we never turn patients away because they cannot afford to pay. Beyond primary care, we provide whole-person, wraparound services that help people stay healthy—from behavioral health and prenatal care to care coordination, pharmacy support, translation services, case management, dental, and more. At a time when many families are facing uncertainty about healthcare, our commitment remains unchanged: we are here for everyone. And we’ll continue advocating for a healthcare system that works for everyone—not just some—because healthcare works best when no one is left behind. 💙 Happy National Health Center Week to the patients, providers, staff, and communities who make this work possible. #NationalHealthCenterWeek #NHCW Neighborhood Health Center of WNY, Inc.
