Our Summer Intern Spotlight series continues with Johnathan Vallelungo! 👏 Johnathan is a senior at Nicholls State University majoring in Maritime Management. This summer, Johnathan is gaining a unique perspective on Morrison's Construction division through a structured internship experience, spending time with different departments to learn how each team contributes to project success. Having grown up around the oil and gas industry, Johnathan was eager to gain hands-on experience beyond the classroom. Earlier this week Morrison participated in the 2026 ExxonMobil Charity Golf Tournament in Midland, Texas, benefiting Senior Life. Big congrats to our team for taking first place in the afternoon flight on the Links Course, and shoutout to Blake Bergeron for hitting a hole-in-one on one of the Par 3s! We’re always up for supporting a great cause while enjoying a fun day out on the course⛳️

Next up in our Intern Spotlight series ➡️ Hudson Duplantis This summer, Hudson is gaining hands-on experience at Morrison's South Yard before beginning his next chapter at LSU this fall, where he plans to study cybersecurity. With family members who are engineers and oilfield professionals, Hudson was curious to learn more about the industry firsthand. His internship has given him the opportunity to step outside his comfort zone, experience a new work environment, and gain a better understanding of the many roles that support construction projects. "My experience so far has been great. I've never done anything like this before, and I'm constantly learning new things." This summer, Morrison is excited to welcome four construction interns as they gain hands-on field experience and contribute to real-world projects. First up ➡️ Atley Stone Atley is an aspiring mechanical engineer with an interest in project management. As someone who is deaf, Atley has developed strong problem-solving skills and adaptability from an early age, strengths that she carries over into her role. “What excites me most is seeing how an idea evolves into a successful project through planning, collaboration, and problem-solving.” So far, Atley has had the opportunity to visit Houma and see firsthand how different roles come together to complete a project. This experience is helping her connect classroom knowledge to real-world application while building an understanding of the construction process.
