💥 [MICROSOFT CLARITY: AI BOT ANALYTICS GOES DEEPER] 💥 Microsoft Clarity updated the Bot Activity dashboard with metrics that go well beyond simple visibility. New in Bot Analytics: ▶️ AI bot requests: total volume and traffic share (%) against all site traffic ▶️ Pages crawled (%): which content AI bots are actually accessing ▶️ Request status: successful vs unsuccessful requests ▶️ Trend analysis: track bot activity over time ▶️ Expanded CDN support for bot traffic The request status insight is the one most teams will overlook. A high number of unsuccessful bot requests means AI systems are trying to access your content and failing. The result: your pages do not appear in AI generated answers, not because the content is weak, but because the infrastructure is blocking the crawl. Content governance now has to answer a new question: can AI crawlers actually access and process your pages? If you care about your content appearing in AI answers, this is the dashboard to open first. 👉 Follow me to stay updated on this topic. Full details in the first comment. AI has changed what discoverability means on the agentic web. As more agents and LLMs search, browse, compare, and purchase on behalf of human customers, businesses need to be asking the following questions: Can AI find me? Understand me? Cite me? Choose me? And most importantly, recommend me - my brand, my products, my services, etc. - to the right customers? In this blog post, I share how we're thinking about this shift at Microsoft, including solutions we’re introducing ahead of Cannes Lions in Web IQ, Clarity, Brand Agents, and Search Campaigns. These products are designed to help businesses not only get found by AI, but also understand how they are showing up and turn those insights into action. Because visibility isn’t just about being seen – it’s about being trusted, valued, and recommended. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gRuzytNW

Google adding AI impression data to Search Console is a good signal that the industry is starting to take this seriously. That said, impressions alone paint an incomplete picture. No clicks. No position. No CTR. Just a count of when your URL appeared inside an AI features. In the age of generative AI, you need more than that to understand your real performance. Here's how I am approaching the problem with the team at Microsoft Clarity: For bot analytics, you simply connect your CDN (Ex. Cloudflare), and Clarity will help you understand the who, what and why of bots and agents on your website, and how much human traffic was referred back to you by generative AI platforms. Citations analytics helps your understand which pages are being cited in AI-generated answers, your Share of Authority vs. competitors, the queries AI uses to find you, and how your grounding performance trends over time. Two complementary pillars, built for this new reality. Still early days for all of us in this space, but I'm excited about where this is going. bot analytics in clarity: https://lnkd.in/d2aMz8fT citations in clarity: https://lnkd.in/dU--_C2X #analytics #aivisibility
