  • Putting education into action. 👷♂️👷♀️🏗️   We welcomed students participating in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) CI - Construction Institute Student Days program to Barney Allis Plaza in downtown Kansas City.   Using the project as the basis for this year's Student Days team challenge project, students were tasked with developing and presenting a real-world construction proposal while considering everything from scheduling and logistics to stakeholder coordination and project execution.   The site tour gave teams an opportunity to gather project insights, ask technical questions and see firsthand the complexities of planning and delivering a major civic improvement project.   We're proud to support the next generation of industry professionals by providing opportunities to connect classroom concepts with real-world construction experience.   HOK | LM2 CONSTRUCTION | City of Kansas City, MO

  •   On a life sciences project, some of the most important decisions are made long before construction begins.   Daniel Lacy explores three areas owners can't afford to delay: defining operational and equipment requirements, engaging trade partners early, and establishing a commissioning and validation strategy from day one. He highlights how proactive planning can improve schedule certainty, reduce risk and accelerate speed to market.   Read the full article in the Dallas Business Journal: https://hubs.li/Q04stRWC0

  • Every renovation, expansion or modernization project starts with understanding existing conditions. When drawings are outdated or building systems have changed over time, project teams can face unexpected challenges that impact coordination, cost and schedule.   Scan to BIM helps reduce that uncertainty by creating highly accurate digital models of existing facilities before construction begins. It helps teams identify issues earlier, improve coordination and make more informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.   Explore how Scan to BIM supports better project outcomes: https://hubs.li/Q04sp11s0
